The rabid left, out to destroy whoever opposes them, by any means necessary. If I was stupid enough to be a RAT, I would be ashamed to be associated with these sc*mba*s.

People win in primaries that can NEVER win in a general election.

Or so we've been told. Then there's guys like Reagan, Obama, Scott Brown, and even idiot Al Franken that prove the assertion wrong. Independents vote on their perception of likability and conviction, not their perception of moderation. How have hard core leftist Dems gotten elected to the Senate from North and South Dakota, that both lean right? By running for office and winning primaries in states that weren't supposed to elect people like them.

The media can try all they want to marginalize O'Donnell. It won't do them any good. Nobody this year is going to base their vote on stories about her taxes or something she apparently said long ago. She may not win. But if she doesn't, it won't be because Katie Couric didn't want her to.

We need to do something about the media.

You mean things like talk radio, the internet, and a certain cable news channel, that have rendered the "media" rather helpless to prevent the wave headed the Dem's way? Seems we already are doing something, no? Wanting to "do something" about others speaking their mind is a roll for liberals and statists, who's views can't stand scrutiny, not for people that respect liberty.

I did, as the rest came up after I posted; I had already read to the ‘end’ of what was currently displayed; meanwhile I had also read the ‘article’ & its comments; then I posted, and this page refreshed with the new replies, including the one I’m now replying to...and the one where you apologized. The hazards of time lag conversations.

Still, the email link is there to ream the author a new one, though that would probably only make ‘it’ happy to have yet more perversion posibilities, while also reinforcing its views of Conservatives.

That, incidentally, reminds me of an old sci-fi story involving plastic surgery to create extra ‘pockets’, so perverts could indulge even more perversity, with even more multiple partners at once. Considering some of the unethical surgeons catering to body-mod freaks already, perhaps that, too, is coming sooner than imagined.

Didn't help in 2008, did it?

Straw man. "Doing something" does not mean, "prohibiting" it can mean many things, such as the establishment of new networks, using the internet more effectively, working talk radio, or finding a way to counter the media talking points.

I’ve actually been trying to think how Ms. O’Donnell could use some rhetorical judo to turn the MTV spot from the mid-’90s into a positive.

Something along the lines—to be used only when asked, as some nitwit certainly will, and only in the context of an interview where she’s not likely to be cut off—of, “I’m still a pious Catholic, and agree with the Church’s moral teachings. Now back in my 20’s I was perhaps too glib—struggling against easy, common sins takes a greater degree of Divine Grace than I felt then. But now, as then, I’m willing to go into the proverbial lion’s den and advocate unpopular positions: cutting the size of government, cutting taxes, reigning in the government’s regulatory reach are about as popular in Washington D.C. as not masturbating is among MTV viewers, so the voters of Delaware can be sure that when I get to Washington as their Senator, I’m not going to flinch and go along with the political class. I’ll stand up for what I believe is right, even when it’s not popular with those around me.”

Doubtless a professional speechwriter could craft that general idea into a pithier sequence of sound-bytes.

Well, her sister does one positive thing. She directs “feminists productions” which always are good cures for insomnia.

Straw man, you say. And all the media help in the world couldn't help the dems in 94 (with no internet at all), or 04. Where was their all powerful influence then? And have you noticed the bloom is off the media's Obama rose? Do you really think their cheer leading will work on 2012? Do you think he may have squeaked by in 08 in that environment without it?

Maybe the media doesn't drive everything. Maybe public opinion is fickle, and swings back and forth, pretty much ignoring the media trying to push it left; especially since the left's monopoly on media is over. Imagine what 94 would have looked like if Rush wasn't the only rightward media force behind it. I'm guessing it would have looked pretty much the same.

WOW! Coons raised taxes 47.5% in just 4 years and the county is still close to insolvency. Sounds like the ol’ Soviet Union. This should be the hammer that O’Donnell beats him to death with.

The same tactics that the media used on Sarah Palin are going to be used on O'Donnell.

Would those be the SAME smears used against Dick Cheney over the years by many FRpers here when he came out in support of his lesbian daughter?

Just askin'

As I recall the disagreement with VP Cheney was not that he supported his daughter, but that he supported gay marriage. Does Ms. O’Donnell support gay marriage?

"Christine O'Donnell—Delaware's anti-masturbation candidate for Senate who opposes anything that "legitimizes the homosexual lifestyle"—has a gay sister. And her gay sister has a Facebook profile where she calls herself a Democrat and says Christine isn't a homophobe."

Family is family, Christine apparently loves her sister but hates the sin.

Sounds like she might be one of those hate-filled Christians [/liberal talking points mode] A.K.A. Someone who has the Love of Jesus in her heart.

I’d simply argue this.

“Say I came up to a poor family. The family were subsisting on oatmeal. Would you say to me that defending their right to eat oatmeal is a right that had particular significance to them? What about their right to sleep under bridges?”

“Now, when you ask me what I believe about masturbation, should I not defend the teachings of the Catholic church? I believe they serve steak instead of oatmeal, and that they provide a warm and habitable home to those who do without.”

Or would you prefer I stand up for their right to sleep under bridges? Your call.

Does Ms. O’Donnell support gay marriage?

I don't know, does it really matter?

Dick Cheney did support gay marriage but so what? What influence did Dick Cheney have on the nationwide discussion of gay marriage and what influence would O'Donnell have if the topic ever came up?

Bottom line is, not a God damm thing.......

But the libs love ya every time you bring up the topic................
