Anchorage Joe's Fifteen Minutes are up
The Republican Mandate ^ | November 13, 2010 | Tim Howes

Posted on 11/13/2010 5:43:09 AM PST by Charlie Fairbanks

As an election law attorney with fourteen years experience, I can tell you that the Miller camp is using the "spaghetti justice" approach to election law. They are throwing the whole pot of pasta up on the wall to see what sticks. We have a job to do in Washington, one that Joe Miller passionately supports. It is my sincere hope that the person in the Miller camp who understands third grade math prevails soon because the Alaska ballot count is a distraction from the task at hand: Balancing the federal budget and ending the Obama deficits.

It looks to me like many of those people were trying to vote for Lisa Miskovsky.

Keep fighting Joe Miller!!!!

Why exactly? I understand Miller won the GOP primary. I also concur that LM should have bowed out gracefully. But she didn’t and (in the end), it was her right to run if she thought she had a chance at winning. It was a bold, daring gamble on her part to go the write in ballot route—but it apparently paid off. If the people of Alaska wanted her (as apparently they did), they should get her. If Joe Miller is forced on them, then we are just as bad as the Dems. Miller should preserve his viability for the future and just bow out gracefully.

Nope. Even if Miller loses the count with the constantly shifting standards for a valid vote, state vote eligibility decisions favoring Murkowski, Murkowski friendly court decisions, etc; Murkowski should not be allowed to profit from her perfidy. She should be investigated and hounded like Palin was. Look at the Murkowski family dealings in Alaska and treat her like Ted Stevens (even though the verdict was overturned on appeal).

Count all the ballots = forced on them. Huh?

Sadly, the Republicans DO have a history of bowing out gracefully (i.e. giving up without fighting) and it has gotten us a healthy dose of socialism/Marxism.

Fight for every last LEGAL vote Joe. Certainly that includes EVERY military vote ...YET to be counted.

“It is my sincere hope that the person in the Miller camp who understands third grade math prevails soon”

Let’s clue you in about 3rd grade math Tim - Joe Miller is closing the gap on Sen. write-in - his gap has now dropped to less than 4.5% of total votes counted, and if the absentee and military ballots prevail - it is my estimation that he will need to prevail in only about 60% of his challenged votes to be the next Senator from the great state of AK.

So SHUT UP about your 3rd grade math Tim.

What this “Republican Bramin Class” apologist does not understand is that the only reason that Miller can be robbed of his election is that Alaska allows the socialist client class (A.K.A. “Natives”) to vote when their only criteria is “How much YOU give ME, White Man?”

Those welfare class “First Persons” can’t even read in most cases!

Jefferson was all too correct when he wrote of “an informed electorate being the only safe repository of power.”

Allowing the ‘Gimmie Pig’ population to vote will be the road to the extinction of the Republic. ‘Gimmie Pigs’ can not a bit for the Republic, only for their welfare check.

Franklin’s words haunt me - “A Republic, if you can keep it.”

“Democrats use it all the time...Still doesn’t make it right.”

Perhaps RATS need to be forced to understand how distasteful challenging every election in the country is. Ever thought there is inherent value in that? If we can actually bring about settled election law that prevents most fraud (even at the SCOTUS level), how important would that be? Right up there with term limits imho.

So what was that about whether this is ‘right?’ I think there’s a larger principle at play here.

If we DON’T fight the RATS will continue to steamroll us. How do you propose we deal with that, practically speaking?

“If Joe Miller is forced on them, then we are just as bad as the Dems.”

Have you realized that the military vote has not been counted? Until the military vote is counted, there is no valid election final tally?

Should Miller win, he will not be “forced” on Alaskans. On the contrary, Liberals and MS Murky ARE trying to force a premature and incomplete count to be accepted as a valid election result

Why would you want a real conservative to allow a Libtard to steal another election?

Disagree. Murkowski used numerous questionable tactics in order to potentially win this election. I believe a thorough look at the election will solidify (or not) the election results and draw continued scrutiny to Murkowski as a US Senator in order to hold her accountable to any and all votes she makes.

Democrats have successfully used these tactics in order to win elections. While Murkowski claims she's a Republican, Miller is the example to other Conservatives you have to fight fire with fire.

“I warned before - there will be enormous pressure on Miller to concede before the military ballots are counted.”

Military ballots aren’t even DUE til next Wed. 11/17, and yet people on this board want Joe Miller to give up, and are calling his actions to defend and bring awareness to upholding election law ‘antics’.

I find that most unfortunate FReeper FRiends.

“She stabbed her party in the back and there are to be no consequences?”

Since she lied to our faces about this election, and stabbed all loyal Conservatives in the GOP in the back, how pathetic is murk, and how pathetic are the so-called RINO leaders of the GOP?

Keep fighting Joe! The Tea Parties are far from pathetic in the was described above (though very human!)

What I mean is: after ALL the votes are counted, if LM still has a sizable lead, JM should back out. Don’t drag it out with legal challenges to write in ballots.
