Weiner is shrinking! That is the opinion that is beginning to creep in among the KOmmies. A couple of days ago they were absolutely certain that Weiner would notify the authorities about being hacked and sue Breitbart for defamation. Then came yesterday's disastrous press conference in which Anthony Weiner was unable to give straight answers to all questions. Of course, the DUmmies are still supporting Weiner but they are in an entirely alternate universe beyond space and time and reason. However, you can see the KOmmie doubt creep into this THREAD, "BREAKING BAD: Weiner can't say for certain weiner not his." So let us now watch the KOmmies observe the shrinking Weiner in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, enjoying the continuing Weiner roast, is in the [brackets]:

Not a troll, nor a concern troll, and I couldn't resist the juvenile headline, so here goes: He did tell Luke Russert of MSNBC that he thought his Twitter account was hacked, but as for the photo itself .... eh, not so much.
NBC’s LUKE RUSSERT: “That’s not a picture of you?”
REP. ANTHONY WEINER: “You know, I can’t say with certitude. My system was hacked. Pictures can be manipulated, pictures can be dropped in and inserted.”
[Weiner took so many pics of his weiner that he is uncertain as to originality. Most normal guys have taken NO pics of their weiner so there is no doubt.]
Worst case scenario, this is mildly embarrassing. He'll still get reelected easily, and could probably be elected Mayor of New York. Best case scenario, it's a right-wing frameup. But who doesn't remember taking a picture of their crotch?!
[Correct. Taking a crotch shot is something one would remember but perhaps Weiner took so many that he is uncertain.]
We obviously don't know all the facts, so some of us should stop acting as though we do. Rep. Weiner gave an awkward press conference of sorts yesterday, so maybe we ought to lay off the theories until we know more (interesting as the theories have been). I would love to blame Breitbart and his ilk too, but I think we should let the chips fall where they may first.

Regardless of how this plays out, Weiner will remain to me one of the best progressive fighters we have in Congress.

When the story first broke, I was yeah, it's a frame job but then some aspects of the story just did not fit together as cleanly as they should. And the the Representatives subsequent (yesterday) fit the stereotype of a "man who has something to hide." That does not mean he does but it was just odd behavior.

Just as when Edwards was caught the masses here defended him w/o the facts - and this is certainly principled and loyal to a certain point. Then it becomes a cornucopia of ridiculous conspiracies (e.g. now CNN in bed with the rw nuts and Koch). The Weiner development has all the classic signs of a Washington political figure of getting caught and desperately trying to wiggle out of it somehow.

I'm sure there is more going on here than we realize, and Breitbart may still have a role in it, but after watching Weiner in that video I can say with a high degree of certainty that he's hiding something.

I can remember people falling over themselves here to defend John Edwards before all the facts came out. A lot of people are going to look silly if this thing goes south.

If Weiner is guilty and did this it's better that he get exposed now before he ends up in a higher-level position.

Which makes more sense: that someone hacked his computer, found photos of his “tumescent bulge,” hacked his twitter account and randomly selected a college girl who called him her boyfriend... or...
Weiner knew what he was doing the whole time... up until mistakenly posting it as public versus private. Promptly causing said girl to delete her twitter account?
