Last weekend, Republicans waiting for the proverbial man on the white horse to ride in and save them from an unsatisfactory 2012 primary field got their answer, or at any rate the best answer they are likely to get: Texas Governor Rick Perry. And while Perry entered stage right, former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, my previous choice among the announced candidates in the field, exited stage center-right, leaving the choice - to me - an obvious one: Rick Perry for President, y'all.

A very interesting analysis of Rick Perry's bid for the GOP nomination and an 2012 electoral map breakdown. If you're thinking of supporting Rick Perry for the GOP nomination I recommend that you read the whole thing.

No Thanks. Being lied to is a field of political science I’m well aware of.

Boy. Liking both Perry and Pawlenty. That is like oil and vinegar. Personally I like Perry because he is eroding Mittens front runner status.

I'll pass. I have done the due diligence on him.
Watch what they DO, not what they say. And I did not just fall off the turnip truck when it comes to politics, as they say.

Cruised through it. No mention of TTC, no mention of pandering to illegals for big Texas donors, no mention of mandatory vaccine, no mention of pandering to Islamics... lots of name dropping, etc.
Puff piece.
Rick Perrier. Fancy package, plain water with a few bubbles.
We need fighters and hunters. We can NOT survive a establishment republican.

This is JUST the kind of slick, omnidirectional opportunistic RINO Republican who will shift HARD RIGHT in the primary against illegal aliens (after a record of coddling them), and then in the General Election shift BACK to the pro-illegal/can't we all get along line. This is exactly what McCain did 4years ago, particularly in South Carolina, and Republicans let him get away with it. The MINUTE he got the nomination, he reverted to default position.
My assertion is that with all things being equal, the governor's "default position" on illegal aliens and border security could not stand up to a good gust of wind.
