Rick Santorum Convicts Trayvon Martin Shooter On Hannity Show
The Conservative Review ^ | Mar.23, 2012 | Marcus Porcius

Posted on 03/24/2012 8:10:55 AM PDT by Josh Painter

Just moments ago on the Sean Hannity radio show, GOP candidate and RINO Rick Santorum took it upon himself to convict George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin case. He said, and I’m paraphrasing slightly:

*It was a heinous crime and he did a despicable, unjustifiable thing and the Sanford police should have reacted to that immediately.*

Again, I am paraphrasing a little as I did not have a recorder running to get his exact words, but that was essentially his statement.

To further paraphrase, in this case Anti-President Obama, Rick Santorum acted stupidly. He doesn’t know all the facts. He wasn’t there. He hasn’t seen the scene of the shooting. He doesn’t know if there was a disparity of force involved, which justifies using a gun. He doesn’t know who started the fight. He doesn’t actually know anything. Nobody but George Zimmerman actually knows what happened and why. The rest of us will have to wait until the evidence comes out… and it will come out.

But not Rick Santorum. Not when you’re in a race to make sure you don’t get called racist for not being properly outraged that a black teen was shot. No, then you run (don’t walk) to the nearest microphone and to all intents and purpose call George Zimmerman a racist murderer and the Sanford police his accomplices. It’s pathetic and obvious pandering.

If this is an example of his leadership, Rick Santorum has no business in the White House. Not that I thought he did in the first place, of course, but this just confirms it.

Race pandering deserves an F every time.

Shoot-from-the-lip Santorum says Zimmerman should have been prosecuted... but wait: Now a witness says Trayvon attacked Zimmerman:

Rick Santorum is basically saying: "The police acted stupidly".

I'm trying to get the guy who says that crap OUT of the White House. I do not want to see Santorum go INTO the White House.

Newt Gingrich says Zimmerman chose a dangerous hobby and that he stepped outside the law.

Exactly.

Santorum was my choice of the remaining candidates, but it seems he never met a controversy he didn’t like to wade in to, open his flapping yapper, and say something IDIOTIC.

Wow, Santorum’s “the cops acted stupidly” moment...

Not only a witness states that Zimmerman was being attacked, what about the fact that the “innocent victim’s” lawyer has moved to block release of his school records. Appears that Trayvon was suspend from school for 5 days, which was why he was hanging out in another neighborhood far from where he lived.

And one does not get a 5 day suspension from school for not completing his homework...

“Well, ‘Stand Your Ground’ is not doing what this man did,” Santorum said Friday morning at a campaign event in Monroe, La. “There’s a difference between ‘Stand Your Ground’ and doing what he did. And it’s a horrible case. It’s chilling to hear what happened, and of course the fact that law enforcement didn’t immediately go after and prosecute this case is another chilling example of horrible decisions made by people in this process.”

And this is the clown that is beating Newt in the polls.

A suck butt going for the black vote that he hasn’t got a snowballs chance in hell of getting anyway.

THIS is the whole Republican party.
Instead of going to it’s base it tries to get a foothold on the black vote that will always be against them.

We have a racist Muslim in the White House who should be vetted by the Supreme Court and the Congress and all they do is try to kiss black butt.

Newt Gingrich says Zimmerman chose a dangerous hobby and that he stepped outside the law.

Not a penny has to be spend on investigation for this incident, mob rule has already determined that Zimmerman is guilty!

I’m disappointed in Rick. He’s been in politics too long to make this kind of mistake and should know better. Zimmerman wasn’t arrested after the first investigation and now another one is taking place. A grand jury is being convened, so he should shut up or at least not fall for the race-baiter’s bait.

PS to Newt. Hang in there pal, this boy who would be our candidate is steady shoving his foot in his mouth.
Maybe he should try to get an endorsement from Spectre.

I love Gingrich but he is wrong here.

Zimmerman didn’t step outside the law and the Police Chief wasn’t suspended, as Gingrich stated.

Santorum got REALLY carried away on this one. I wish none of them would weigh in on this stuff.

Agreed. The only “positive” (and not much of one at that) is that Santorum’s recent behavior and words help me ever so slightly to accept that Romney will be the nominee and will have my reluctant support to defeat the infirmative action president.

Santorum is now joining the leaders of the lynch mob. The presumption of innocence is designed to protect people from the likes of Santorum.

Frankly I think the media should ask the president why he feels it necessary to insert himself into issues like this? It started with the Henry Gates Beer Summit.

Presidents traditionally stay away from this sort of thing and leave it up to the authorities.

These politicians are despicable; Santorum, Jeb Bush, even Gingrich are all sticking their freaking noses in it. If that's a repeat of yesterday's show, you'll also hear Romney. To his credit he did not convict & hang Zimmerman.

These are our choices... pathetic.

Oh boy. I think Rick just blew his foot off at the ankle.

The whole Trayvon thing is starting to implode in so many ways...

Sigh... if he had kept quiet one more day...

Santorum should quit the race today. His jumping the gun on the Florida case shows he is not ready for prime time. GET OUT RICK.
