Obama Is The Symptom Not The Problem
The Catholic Knight ^ | 3/5/2012 | Staff

I want to make something perfectly clear to my readers. I DON'T HATE BARACK OBAMA. I don't even dislike him. Truth is, if I met him in a pub, and didn't know he was the President of the United States, I would probably have a few drinks with him. I might even make a friend. The same is true with G.W. Bush and Bill Clinton.

In American politics we tend to get personal, even to the point of hating our leaders. I have tried to avoid that, and I've tried to teach my kids to steer clear of that as well. Truth is, while much of what our political leaders do is evil, that doesn't mean they themselves are evil people. I have friends who are ardent Obama supporters, even to the point of trying to defend his indefensible HHS mandate. I don't 'unfriend' them just because of their flawed political views. They're good people and I know they mean well. It's just that so much of what they 'know' is wrong.

[SNIP]

I'm going to tell my readers now that there is a fifty percent chance that Obama may lose the election, and if he does, there is a seventy-five percent chance that nothing big will really change. Oh sure, a Republican president may get rid of some of the more offensive features of Obamacare, including the insidious HHS mandate, but don't expect the principles of Obamacare to disappear, and you certainly shouldn't expect anything to get better in the healthcare industry. I would say there is probably a strong chance they will continue to get worse, especially under a Republican president. Under Obama we may go to war with Iran. Under a Republican president we WILL go to war with Iran.

Nevertheless, Obama and the Democratic Party have declared war on America. So far, America is surrendering.

The real problem with America is we let stupid people vote. It wasn’t that way originally for very good reason. We changed that and are now learning what that reason was. Stupid people will always vote themselves “bread and circuses” to the detriment, and ultimate destruction, of the Republic.

"I don't hate Barrack Obama."

A man who has a disdain for American exceptionalism. A man who is trying to systematically take down the greatest country on earth. What's to like, again?

I absolutely hate his guts. His voice, alone, makes my blood boil.

Exactly. He is America’s NUMBER ONE ENEMY. And the ilk that supports him. Never in our history have we ever experienced an all out frontal attack on the Constitution, our rights, our freedoms, and our secure soverignty. The nightmare must be stopped in November.

I hate, loathe, detest, and despise people whose goal is to turn the vast majority of ordinary American citizens into government serfs.

Let me put it plainly: if, for whatever reason (known/unknown), I am prevented from voting for Dr Ron Paul, I will vote for obama!

Until it is confirmed that Mitt is his opponent, then those chances shoot up to 99%.

Agreed, plus those on welfare should not vote either. I can make exceptions for Social Security, since that is forced on us when we get old and/or if your infirm where you can work but you must still pass the intelligence test. I would have have a test that would have basic math, reading comprehension and basic American history that you must pass before you can vote. As to welfare, as the saying goes, "those who rob Peter to pay Paul will always count on the vote of Paul."

Indeed, Obama is a surrenderist politico. He can only rally people to his poor loser cause if they are themselves compromised as losers. It is how he wants to keep America down. It is part and parcel of his homosexual, I wanna party, and I do not care after me, type behavior, denying the legal any legality.

This Democrate machination has got to stop. THis is completely irresponsible and corrupt. The worst part is RINOs who have no clue and partake in compromising themselves even more by trying to mold the consciousness of conservatives away or even kill them with the help of Obama himself.

This is another animal altogether that Romney inspires, because, just as Zero is friends with Wright, Romney is friends with BUshoids, Lugars and other dangerous Danforth assortments who cannot put a viable consciousness in the minds of liberals and conservatives. They have no clue of the game and no control over it, but just balderdash, wanting to keep “their” dues. It’s disgusting.

I think this man is trying not to hate or get angry as part of the Christian “turn the other cheek” thing that is taught at times. I understand his point but there is a time that we need more “General Patton” to where we need rage to bring about the desire to win as well as to fight the enemy. Myself, the way the world is plus being bullied as a kid, I have not evolved to the “turn the other cheek point” yet. I know my cousin, he’s an agnostic, but he does have a good point where if you tun the other cheek, “they’ll just hit the other one.” I’m afraid he is right on that one, I mean, what if they cannot be reasoned with and still push you?

I have come to believe much of the same thing that this writer is saying, at least if we elect Mitt Romney.

I am shocked to realize that many Republicans, even here on FreeRepublic, don’t see Obamacare as the threat to our way of life, as a very real threat to our freedom and economic system that it is. Many Republicans seem to think that the unconstitutional federal mandate is the only real problem.

It’s not, it’s just the excuse to get the fight started. It will only be the beginning, and if Mitt Romney is the GOP nominee, we will have lost the fight before it ever really gets started.

Mitt Romney has NEVER denounced Romneycare and his plan is to double down on it after the Supreme Court thows out the federal mandate, by claiming that he was right all along and the state mandate is the way to go.

What many Republicans don’t seem to understand is that Obamneycare is not so much about health care, at all, as it is about re-ordering our society and government, our very lives.

First of all the plan is unionize all health care workers, including the insurance workers, under one federal union, the SEIU. That will mean that all the workers in 1/5 of our economy will become SEIU, with special benefits that aren’t available to the non-union members. Then, they want to create a national union for all first responders to add to those SEIU workers.

Think about it, we will become a one party country. The second party will never win another election.
