Key Democrats Warn Supreme Court on Obamacare (Semmens Satire)
Semi-News/Semi-Satire ^ | 31 March 2012 | John Semmens

Posted on 04/02/2012 10:08:49 AM PDT by John Semmens

A handful of senate Democrats warned the Supreme Court not to overturn the Affordable Care Act—more widely known as Obamacare.

“The court commands no armies, it has no money; it depends for its power on its credibility,” Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn) said. “The President is Commander-in-Chief of the most powerful army in the world. Congress has control over more spending than any other entity in the world. The Justices need to consider whether they want to lock horns with these other branches of government.”

Senator John Kerry (D-Mass) took issue with contentions that the 2700-page health care law hasn’t been properly vetted. “I admit I didn’t have time to read it before I voted for it,” Kerry said. “But I was assured by Solicitor General Kagan that the bill was Constitutional. I’m sure that now she is on the Supreme Court she will uphold the law’s validity.”

“And let’s not forget that there have been more than 30 lower court decisions upholding the health care law,” Kerry added. “Let’s face it, the President conceived it. Congress passed it. The people want it. And fellow judges have upheld it. Do the members of the Supreme Court really want to swim against this tide?”

The possibility that President Obama might just ignore an unfavorable Court ruling cannot be discarded. “It wouldn’t be the first time something like that has happened,” Press Secretary Jay Carney observed. “President Jackson set the precedent for it back in 1832. President Obama will enforce the laws as he sees fit. The Justices should keep that in mind as they mull over their decision.”

No greater hubris than that coming from the a**hole who occupies our nation's White House.

Let’s see, imagine you are 1 of the 9 Supremes - you have dedicated your life to the study of the law, and having reached the pinicle of your career - you are given a LIFE-long appointment to the highest court of the land.

Well, that covers about 5 of the Supreme Court justices and definitely not at least three of them (all female).

We live in a time in the US where satire is so close to the truth that it is indistinguishable. LOL

Just a request - Please stop posting these “semi-news, satire” pieces. The titles raise my blood pressure and I’m half-way through the article when I realize I’ve been faked-out again.

It’s annoying, to me at least, because the left wing is so crazy and outrageous that it’s becoming more and more difficult to satire what they do - and, thus more difficult to “get” that what we are reading is satire. Are there not enough TRUE sickening left wing stories that these semi/satire/news guys need to make up new ones?

My blood pressure is bad enough already - these semi-news guys are like people yelling “fire”, then when you coming running to help, they say, “hey, just kidding - great joke, huh?”. I just want to punch them in the face for getting me all worked up.

Yes, I could read all the small print under the title of the post and see that it’s “semi-news” crap, but sometimes I don’t. Create a “semi-news, satire” blog or forum to post your creations.

Anyway, just my two cents.

Folks, it’s satire.

It's not satire, even though it's (mis)labeled as such. This is what they believe and think whenever they fail to use the SCOTUS to advance the leftist agenda.

The President conceived (ha ha ha, as though he's ever conceived anything in his life that wasn't in vitro) something unconstitutional. A partisan Congress passed something unconstitutional. About 35% of "the people" want something that is unconstitutional. Some judges have upheld something that is unconstitutional. Johnny boy, you haven't even begun to see a tide. You and yours are about to get tsunamied.

It’s really a shame Kerry is regarded such a babbling moron, otherwise that statement would really cause some damage.

President Obama will enforce the laws as he sees fit

The obozo is finally admitting that he is a tyrant and yet congress does NOTHING to uphold their SWORN oath to protect and defend the US Constitution. Instead, they write laws expressly to shackle the people to protect themselves from citizen backlash for their allowing the demise of the country. The level of corruption in DC has reached its apex and holding national office is nothing more than a position to exploit for self gain. A tar and feather response is not enough to clean up this mess.

Interesting that Blumenthal is talking about the Army. Wasn’t this the bozo that claimed for decades to have served in Vietnam, then remembered he hadb’t?

Semi-News/Semi-Satire ^ is clearly displayed. If you click on it it will take you to John’s blog that you suggested he create.

Why are you blaming someone else for your blood pressure, lack of comprehension and reading skills?

He has been posting here for many years. I’m surprised he is still able to catch as many as he does.
