Two years, three months, and seven days after his inauguration, Barack Obama finally offered evidence to prove his eligibility for the presidency. On the White House website, officials posted an electronic document purported to be a scan of Barack Obama's long-form birth certificate. It was a grand "I told you so" moment for the media and the left, which had worked feverishly to marginalize "birthers" as the radical counterpart of the zany "truther."
Of course, there was never really any parity. Truthers constructed silly conspiracy theories about George W. Bush being an international super-criminal that orchestrated impossibly complex measures to frame al-Qaeda on 9/11. Birthers, on the other hand, merely demanded that the president, who is required by the Constitution to be a natural born American citizen, show proof of his eligibility. And in reality, that is an entirely reasonable expectation, albeit unprecedented.
Nonetheless, birthers were marginalized as fringe elements, and since the release of the electronic scan of the birth certificate, the concerns of birthers have become even more ignored in the public discourse. As an example of the how the media now views the birther movement, consider that the Huffington Post describes it as a "controversy that has been widely debunked but which remains alive in the eyes of some conservatives."
New evidence, however, has reignited conservative interest in Obama's birth certificate. Conservative icon Sherriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona, at the behest of a petition presented by the Surprise, Arizona Tea Party organization, organized a "cold case posse" and completed a six-month examination of the released birth certificate in order to determine its authenticity. The results are in, Joe says, and they point to the document being a fake.

Exactly right. It is and always should have been incumbent upon "Obama" to prove his qualifications, not upon Americans to prove that he lacks such.
This of course is without even getting into the foreign nationality of his putative father, presuming he’s *cough* telling the truth about even that.

I watched the entire 2-hour Surprise Arizonal Tea Party conference that Sheriff Joe appeared at on 31 March. Would that every American who cares about the integrity of our government would do so also. My understanding is that there were about 1,000 people there. I loved the reaction of the crowd at 1:20:00 into the video when Mike Zullo says “I don’t even know what you’d call this” and a woman from the crowd responds “A felony!”

I do not think they even care if he is a citizen of Kenya, and the media probably knows that he is an illegal POTUS.
The public has been well conditioned to believe that us birthers are nothing more then far out kooks, or space cadets.
I agree with you, the public will pay a steep price for not loving and protecting the country that has provided much for them. They will wish for the days when they could of, but did nothing and laughed at thoes who tried.

there are FOUR components required to prove eligibility to assume the office of the President.
1. 35 years of age or older
2. 14 years in the country
3. born on US soil
4. born of TWO US citizens
the birth certificate yields TWO of these.
date of birth... and location.
assuming we can show 0bama was in the country for 14 years...
that only leaves #4 ... citizenship of BOTH parents.
as everyone knows, 0bama’s father was NEVER a US citizen ... therefore, 0bama cannot be a NATURAL BORN citizen. at best, he is a US citizen and british by descent.

It’s too bad that many personalities on the right staked out that to question Obama’s lack of openness about his past is “nutter” territory. Others have been silent. It’s amazing that they have been basically lock step about it. I wonder what spooked them? Never cared for Glenn Beck from the start, but after I heard him interviewed by Peter Boyles in 2010 about this issue, I couldn’t stomach or trust anything he says. Ben Shapiro is minor league, but same goes for him now. The people that stay silent maybe are cowards, but I can’t tolerate the people that come right out and denigrate the ones that want to see this occupiers’ documents. To denigrate people that are actually doing something to prove he is the fraud that we know he is. We’ve known it from the start, but he’s been allowed to get away with it and they have been his enablers.
A well placed cough that is, I would say there is ample room for doubt on the question of paternity to say nothing of (cough) maternity. Origins are suspect, to say the least.
