New Mexico Fires Just Another Enviromentalist Induced Catastrophe - 250,000 Acres Lost

We, perhaps, will never be able to reckon the entire extent to which the Environmentally ill and the EPA have caused the loss of life, limb, and monetary resources due to their obsessive love for Gaia, their Mother Earth. Frankly, I think they have done more harm to their Ma, than we could ever guess.

New Mexico, as well as other western states, have been the latest victims of an out of control environmental policy as directed by out of control Democrats, especially in the Obama administration as of late.

As Spain goes broke from going solar, as Obama works toward his promise of "bankrupting coal," as China refuses to account for its airplane emissions to the floundering, green European Union, history is replete with evidence of environmentally induced tragedies. The following proof comes from a local New Mexico newspaper which, as far back as 1996, shows how the current and devastating wildfires were started with the help of environmental policies.
High Country News @1996 [About Catron County, New Mexico - The heart of the current devastating fires] Loggers, timber companies, environmentalists and the Forest Service all agree that thinning is needed to restore a forest that's choking on smaller trees and threatened with catastrophic fires. But those trees can't be removed until the legal issues are resolved that have stopped all Southwestern logging since 1995, the year a federal court injunction was issued. ...A proposal contends that the federal government, by refusing to recognize "private rights' to federal land, is becoming "more of a planner and a controller of people than a servant." Timber-cutting would resume, targeting small trees. The sale of wood products and grazing fees would help raise funds to run the program.
History is replete with examples of death, starvation, and destruction caused by ideologues who have martyred themselves in order to implement their superior ideas on their fellow citizens in order to establish a more perfect Nirvana on earth. There are so many, but here are just a couple of many instances where the EPA has wreaked havoc such as:Environmentalists Induced Fires In California back in 2011. Even one of NASA's greatest disasters, the explosion of the Space Shuttle Columbia, can be attributed to wacko Environmentalists meddling in the U.S. space program.

Locally, in northeastern Ohio, a candy factory was not allowed to build when and where it wanted in Twinsburg (Where the international Twins Day Festival is celebrated), because said buildings might interfere with the habitat of the Indiana Lactating Bat - which had not even been seen in this area in 8 years!

The examples of unnecessary oppression by EPA/Sierra Club/Audobon etc. people are endless, yet, this year, the Sackett family that had fought the EPA for 8 years finally won their right in the Supreme Court, only, to go to a lower court in order to further plead their case to build their retirement home on land that the EPA mistakenly called a "wetland." Thanks to the Pacific Legal Foundation for fighting this one to the (almost) finish.

This is exactly what you were talking about in your ‘braying’ column a week or so ago.

Joe, the sad truth that many of us who have written on environmental/landuse issues came to long ago is that No one cares until they are personally touched by the green menace. Then of course, they are flabbergasted as to how their own ox got GOREd and why they never saw it coming.

Until the general public CHOOSES to take their heads out of a dark and maloderous place and launch the 2012 version of Nancy Reagan’s “Just say NO! campaign against the greens, the libs in general and politicians on the ‘Right’ (yes the Right - who tend to ‘compromise’ away our rights in this issue) Nothing will happen.

I watched a good chunk of the west get lost over the public’s apathy. Before it’s over, we are likely to lose the rest.

Then everyone can sit and wonder ‘Why?’ together.

Just about all evil in the world can be traced back to enviro-wackos including the current occupant of the White House (whom they helped elect and help protect, and whose puppet strings they apparently control).

Everything is driven by brainwashed children of children of hippies and nuts who infest our schools (as "teachers") and continue to brainwash our kids and grandkids.

I fear the cycle will never stop. I puke upon "green" this and "green" that and the way just about every company has climbed aboard the Green Titanic in hopes of increasing sales as more and more of the brainwashed enter the workforce and begin spending their money.

Oh, just don't get me started...

And I just reported another fire in New Mexico, the Manzano Mountains south of Albuquerque. Hopefully they can get to this one quickly. AND THERE ARE NO STORMS HERE, this will be man made.

If they let the private enterprises “farm” the forrests including replanting of new trees and grid like zones of havesting and replanting. Then when a fire broke out it would easily be quashed. Instead we control the small fires until so much fuel in the forrest build up that when there is a fire it is a “humdinger” of a fire.

Save the forrests by farming the forrests.

There is a reason there are no longer giant plains fires of 100+ years ago in Kanasa and Nebraska that span multiple counties.

The examples of unnecessary oppression by EPA/Sierra Club/Audobon etc has caused a pine beetle epidemic in Colorado. A micro burst blew down 100,000 acres of trees and the bleeding heart oppressors sued the forest Service to stop cleaning up the trees. Pine Beetles were seen coming out of the downfall on Radar. Billions of dead treas are proof that the oppressors plan is working.

Several years ago the beetles hit my property here in TN and many other places. They killed about 90% of the pines everywhere they hit. Truly nasty things.

***the bleeding heart oppressors sued the forest Service to stop cleaning up the trees.***

Forty years ago COLORADO MAGAZINE went all boo hoo over how the lumber companies were not cleaning up after clear cutting an area.

So,damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

About 15 years ago there was an airship company in California that had a brilliant idea, but went bankrupt before they could build a prototype.

A fire fighting airship. It would have been a huge help fighting the hundreds of western fires that happen every year, as a compliment to fire fighting aircraft and helicopters. It could likely save millions of dollars and many lives every year.

Airships have some unique advantages. They can carry very heavy payloads, can remain in the same relative area for a long time, which means they don’t have to just dump their load, but can “rain” on a fire, which is much more effective. And they could even deliver a vast amount of high expansion fire fighting foam either on a fire or as a barrier to it.

About the only risk could be eliminated by using infrared cameras to detect heat columns rising from the hottest of forest fires, and spraying water offset from the column. This would be done simply enough, by descending a fire hose with a cable attached to its end so that it can be pointed to send its water or foam in a downward arc.

The “rain” capability is one of its best features, as it is well known to firefighters how rain severely impedes the progress of a fire in several ways. This is why fire hoses have nozzles to turn the stream of water into a spray.

Fracking for gas should be the safest use of the method. Gas wells are assumed to be high pressure wells and are sealed at the surface quite well. If there is high pressure gas it is an indication that the ground is tight and that fracking will not take off in the wrong way. If there was a fault of way for the fracking to go wrong the gas would have already found it and not be there.

New Mexico has had its fair share of pine beetles, especially the ones that have decimated our pinon trees.

We have been feeding hummingbirds in our backyard for years. They arrive every spring about the beginning of May by the dozens. By the time they head south in September there are hundreds of them, counting all the hatchlings.

Last winter I remember seeing a news clip about the Texas fires and a couple who had thousands of hummingbirds at their feeders because of the fires.

So far this year we only have about a half-dozen hummingbirds in our yard.

The Texas fires wiped them out.

DC is Killing or Forests (Saturbray)

They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not LOVE their lives so much as to shrink from death. Rev 12:11

There is only one thing standing between America and full employment, its gummit. We have become a country where the people in the wagon has killed and eaten the horses. Now they sit in absolute amazement wondering why they aren’t moving. This is the most anti-business administration in a long line of anti-business congress’ leaving an absolute wreck of an economy. Until we shove this wagon full of ingrates off the cliff and raise new horses we are doomed to another decade of failure. We have the Three Pillars of power, gummit, media and academia all at war with business in a struggle to the death in hopes of killing the very thing that feeds them.

One of the most basic examples is their absolute mismanagement of the resources. Traveling to Denver and up into the Frasier River valley at the headwaters of the Colorado River there was the most perfect example of Federal mismanagement. As you looked around the valley in all directions covering over a hundred square miles you could see dead Lodgepole Pine forests. Entire mountainsides were covered with dead trees with patches of green scattered every few miles. You could imagine the beauty of that valley before the Federal gummit and environmental radicals came ushering in the pine beetle. As the Sierra Club and their District of Corruption says, better a bug kill the tree than a chainsaw.

After the forest service and Feds were taken over by eco-nazis they installed absolute hands off policy that restricted the true Conservationists from managing the forests. These radicals stated the only forest that was of value was one which the foresters and mills were excluded. They promoted the Spotted Owl agenda for the forest in that man had to be banned from the forest to keep it healthy since man was the killer of the environment. There was no proof like every other agenda driven junk science however it became the prevailing theory thanks to the Three Pillars. Like all agenda driven science it was the absolute worst thing they could do for the forests and now you have thousands of square miles of dead trees in Colorado and throughout the west.

What happens when you stop managing the forest and let it go back to its natural state is the weed trees become overpopulated and choke out the stately ones and themselves. The quick growing plentiful trees like Lodgepole begin growing in tight clumps and forests that are too close together stressing the forest and each other making them unhealthy and susceptible to disease and insects. Trees need space for mineral nourishment, water and sunlight which means thinning and managing. Once the insects like the pine beetle get started they go from forest to forest destroying the weakened trees one after another getting to where the forests are today. The only forests that are avoiding this plague are the healthy ones which are on private land and have either survived the infestation or have been cut and regrown. Those were the widely scattered patches of green you could see across the mountainsides.

Talking to a logger he explained how he lived in the valley his entire life and remembered the healthy lush forests that surrounded the valley. After the Fed came in and kicked the loggers out of the woods to protect the forests and the headwaters of the Colorado the forests began to overgrow. He spoke of how he was basically shut down to harvesting and regrowing those forests for decades as he watched the trees become weaker and weaker. He spoke of the need to thin and rotate through clear cutting to replenish the ground and trees until of course the beetles came in and destroyed the valley. He pointed out the patches he cut and how in less than five years you could see a young forest start to push up green and lush although you could see it would need some strategic thinning to make it healthier.

He explained how if your harvested in the summer and fall you would allow more scarring on the land to turn up that topsoil and get those seeds deeper into the ground. He showed areas he harvested the year before and how it had a new growth starting to green like a foot high field of trees. He explained if you harvested in the winter when the snow protected the dirt you would have to wait two to three years rather than the one if you scarified the ground. He pointed to clear cuts on the mountainside he had done a few years earlier that were a lush green in a sea of death.

The eventual ending to this story will be a lightning storm hitting one of these rotting forests to begin white hot fires raging across this tinderbox. This will be an environmental disaster of historic proportions as well as a major problem for the cities which rely on their watershed for their water. These trees were the water reservoir for the mountains as they not only held water in their roots and leaves they are important for holding the ground water in the topsoil in their root systems which will affect the Colorado River. This future fire will devastate water supplies to every city along the Colorado with either water shortages or dirty water thanks to the earth worshipers in the Three Pillars.

The dead forests in Colorado are a perfect symbol of what the Federal Government has done to the economy of America. It has instituted failed policies they won’t admit has failed and only promoted more and more failure. Rather than reevaluate these failures and trying a new program they double down with more Central Planned disasters and America pays the price waiting for the eventual forest fire.

This logger as it turned out was the true environmentalist and the Three Pillars were the real destroyers of the forests. He could go through these forests and sell the trees for what he could and go back through planting Ponderosa Pine and Spruce to reestablish a healthy forest. Within ten years it would be as lush and green as it was ten years ago. Like everything the communists touch or believe is wrong and now our forests are paying the price for their agenda.

The Federal Gummit needs to turn these lands over to the states and get out of Central Planning from DC. The states need to sell these lands to private timber companies who will reinvest and manage these lands to make them marketable resources to feed the world markets. The only solution to this problem is to turn to private enterprise and the free market which would require the Fed to get out of the way. Just like every other predator in the forests we need to put a bounty on eco-terrorists who are destroying our forests and killing the forest ecosystems. If they are as concerned about the environment as they claim where are they on this massive disaster? Nowhere, because they know it can be traced right back to their hands off approach to the forests and they don’t want people to understand what damage they have caused. They are communists whose larger goal is to destroy America so if a few forests are killed along the way, so be it.

The dead and dying forests in the West are a picture of why we need to defeat liberalism. Everything they touch dies and they have a death grip on America. They market themselves as the saviors of the environment when the real protectors are the loggers and hard working conservatives who actually care about these forests and America. The more we turn over to the loggers the healthier the forests will become. The more of America we turn over to Conservatism the healthier it will become. We need to vote out the enviro-extremists and vote in the loggers who will start to regrow our forests.

Pray for America

Generations too late, Joe.

The Agencies and Academia are now mostly collectivists/statist. The pooblik skool collective has created a population with insufficient knowledge of core American concepts. In short, many voters are not acculturated as Americans.

PS If G*d did give us dominion and free will, a solid argument can be made that we must not expect Divine intervention to save us from our own sins. Something about responsibility being inseparable from authority, perhaps?
