Conservative “expert” purists have to recognize people are voting AGAINST Obama not FOR Romney

The Drudge Report carries a picture of Mitt Romney jet skiing with his wife – “Oh no that’s it Barack Obama will cruise to reelection because all is lost!”

A few people, who we’ve heard of, have declared Romney’s campaign virtually dead because THEY don’t like his response to the two worst decisions from the Supreme Court.

These comments are, of course well meaning, but they remind us of the wide gap between grass roots activist TEA party conservative voters and conservative “leaders” who now want to run in front of the parade to appear to be relevant.

There is a huge surge of enthusiasm to get rid of Barack Obama that is happening in the streets and on conservative internet “meeting places” that will flush Barack Obama away in November. How can these “experts” not know this?

In my small but reliable poll 66% my overwhelmingly conservative readers said they were voting AGAINST Barack Obama and just 24% said they were voting FOR Mitt Romney! The large national polls won’t ask this question but that doesn’t alter the truth.

Our “expert” conservative leaders don’t yet understand that not only will conservative voters crawl through broken glass to vote against Obama, BUT more to the point, legions of Americans, especially White voters, who just desperately want Obama gone will see “ROMNEY” as the name on the toilet bowl handle that must be pulled down to flush away Barack Obama – America’s foulest mistake.

Over the past two years Obama’s nationally televised speeches have drawn fewer and fewer listeners. This is because Americans don’t care what he has to say, they want him gone.

Regardless of what he has done, Obama has not gotten ANY lasting “poll bounce” because Americans don’t care what he does, they want…..

What's His Name just has to avoid big mistakes and he will win. Notice CNN this morning making a big deal of his "flip flop" in changing what he called Obamacare. He started to call it a penalty then switched to calling it a tax. Big deal!

A better way to put it, we are voting to FIRE OBAMA!

Even if Romney is only a fraction of a percent better, we have to stop Obama then work to try to keep Romney in line until a better option comes along. For all we know, Romney will pander to the Right in order to ensure he still has support in 2016 and actually do a halfway decent job.

There’s no doubt that I’m voting against O not for Mitt. I was convinced that Cain could pull it off. Then I was convinced that Newt could win. Then reality set in with Mitt. I forgot how the elitists do “all of the work” of nominating for us.

If you believe the lame stream media then go ahead and buy the flip flop meme. If you had bothered to listened to the interviews of the Romney campaign person who was ASKED (multiple times no less) what the penalty was called in Massachutes for not buying health insurance.... Do you not get that the 5th column wants ( nay NEEDS) O to win?

I am no Romney fan. I also happen to detest this insatiable desire to cannabalize anyone on our side who isn’t perfect. So what if people vote AGAINST O rather than FOR Romney???? The result will be that Romney wins. We need to get out and support conservatives for the House and Senate and as many local and state offices as possible. The laziness that makes people stay home because ‘their guy’ didn’t win has led to this point.

Same here. But, now I face the question of “do I want Obama to have another term?”. The choice is clear.

At least with Romney conservatives have a seat at the table, which is vastly superior to the current situation.

According to this small but reliable poll, then, 66% of conservative readers would vote for Hillary Clinton simply because she is "anything but Obama". I'm not buying it. People can only squint so much. The actions of Mitt Romney go well beyond my ability to squint. Bush is far more conservative than McCain; McCain is far more conservative than Romney. Bush gave us Justice Roberts ... how far down the slippery slope are people willing to go before this "purity" argument grows tired?

Ooh, I like that.

The turd in the bowel is Zero, and the handle is Romney.

Except for the LDSers anybody voting for Romney is doing it as an Anti-Obama vote. I live in a battleground state and I have not seen one Romney bumper sticker or sign. I have seen plenty of Anti-Obama bumper stickers.

Disagree. Conservatives have to leave the conservative table to join Romney at the liberal table. And that is the biggest mistake we can make. Redefining conservatism in Romney's image will undo all the progress made by the Tea Party in one fell swoop. Better to have the republicans join us at the conservative table by learning its the only way they win.

But how much would you like to see Obama impeached or arrested? Clinton only survived two years of his second term before impeachment proceedings. Obama has a lot less going for him than Clinton did. I'll happily accept a few years of total gridlock with Biden in charge and making the democrats look like idiots while building the conservative influence over the republicans. I'd prefer that over allowing conservatism to be defined by a Romney presidency. Give me a real conservative president in 2016 rather than four more years of Romney.

So you would rather hope that somehow the GOPe (you know, the guys who supposedly gave us Romney) will somehow grow balls and impeach Obama? And you would rather take your chance with that?

Good luck with that one.

You want us to reelect Obama on the hope that we'll then be able to arrest or impeach him?

You must work for one of those liberal "think tanks" we always hear about.

The problem is there's no difference between the two ~

Republicans still have a chance to avoid making the error of running another RINO ~ like the last 8 losers ~ Democrats don't have that choice.

As a practical matter, a candidate who doesn't excite the base has a very difficult problem in that he must overcome a 10 million voter advantage for the other side.

NOTE: GOP-e Mittbots, I referred to the last 8 losers meaning the ones who lost, not that the last 8 candidates were all losers.

No idea why I say that ~ they still can't understand what I said.

We are doomed with these people ~ DOOMED!!!

Romney is as disgusting to me as just about anything I can imagine. I hate the R leadership and “pro-life” groups that handed him to us on a stick. He has laid the way for sharia in MA and has no concept of Constitutional governance. If he is elected and doesn’t have a good sound conservative Congress to force his hand, he will be a cancer that kills this country

I don’t think we have the luxury of thinking about cancer right now, though - because as it is we have had both arms and both legs blown to bits and will totally bleed out and die within the next year if not sooner, if we do not apply a tourniquet.

At this point even a tourniquet covered in turd would be better than nothing. The best we can do is use (elect) the turd-covered tourniquet and at the same time apply massive amounts of antibiotic in the form of a conservative veto-proof Congress, to keep the turd on the tourniquet from infecting us to death. If we could somehow miraculously come up with a tourniquet that wasn’t covered in turd, the choice would be easy. But if we are only given the choice of bleeding out immediately or using a gross tourniquet, the tourniquet would at least buy us some time to try to recover. The alternative is a decision to commit suicide.

Romney will form a working coalition with a reacharound to the Democrats and the remaining RINOs.

Conservatives have no seat at any table with either Romney, Obama, or Rombama. All same thing GI.
