we are going to get screwed in the second debate. the obamites are desperate.

it's a town hall meeting. they will stack the deck in the audience with 26 year old lesbians with breast cancer that need their birth control pills paid for.

"how can you take my obamacare away from meeeee? I will die!!"

candy is an absolute leftist, and she is listening to the MSM uproar over the last debate. she will whack mitt at every opportunity in the next debate.

OK< so I stand incorrected, having read some more of the thread. Yes, it’s going to be lesbos dying of incurable carpet poisoning, wanting to marry their “partners” on their death beds

Oh, thanks for the clarification. I don’t know how I confused it like that.

I keep hearing Romney had better be ready, that obama is going to come out swinging next time.

But IMO Romney has facts on his side and momentum from the first debate. For obama, he has to keep the lies straight - impossible without his friend, TOTUS.

going into the debates, the Rom people had to know the circumstances..

...and if they are half as prepared as Romney was for the first debate, they're already having practice debates with mock questions from leftists, hard luck cases and whiny entitled bedwetters. Anticipate the most extreme and be ready for them, so the real "gotchas" will seem like softballs.

What Romney said was that of the 47%, they would not likely support him. He could tell that to the questioner and then ask, do you consider yourself part of that 47%? (Yes) Could you support me? (No) I think you have proved my point.

Yeah, like Romney never addressed an open meeting or stockholder’s convention.

May not be his preferred format, but unlike Obama, he can handle something other than a love-fest.

He’s a big enough man to handle it easily, IMHO. They always throw these formats in, in recent years, thinking it throws the Repub off-guard.

It’s a stupid format for a Presidential debate but Romeny will handle it quite well.

He’s toured way more factories than “O” and actually understood what was being produced in them when he chatted up working people.

Advantage Romney.

I believe I was mistaken about Candy. I must have read something akin to The Onion and taken it seriously.

Would be nice if she were out, though.

Then it up to Romney to be ready for it and beat them at their own game. Leaders lead, they do not blame everyone else for their failures. He wants the job, well he is going to have to earn it.

Great answer.

-- ... because a townhall format is going to be more volatile than having the moderator run the whole show, Romney should be in a better position than Obama from that perspective. --

I think that will depend, in large part, on how well the media manages to stack the audience in Obama's favor. Watchers will tend to "follow the leader," which will be the people in the townhall.

. -- I suspect that Mitt has figured out how to get under Obama's skin, and that unlike Obama, Mitt can control his emotions. I think part of Obama's problem is that he probably can't control his emotions and the resulting internal turmoil of trying to appear calm while he is internally seething greatly interferes with his thinking ability. --

I agree completely. That's the most significant part of the dynamic. Romney can't control when Obama loses it, but he can keep Obama muddled. I also think your speculation that Obama's performance will get worse, is likely.

Romney has his work cut out, but I think he's properly tuned for this contest.

Let the bed wetting begin. Romney is living in Obama's head rent free. I think Romney will do just fine.

I assume the poster meant out of the closet.

There was a funny article that was written saying that Candy would no longer be the moderator. Candy was to be replaced by Big Bird.

I think that I saw it in the news section on aol.

:)

If I were Romney I start the debate looking at Obama and saying “President Obama at a rally the day after our first debate you called me a liar. I’d like you to say that to me,to my face, in front of this audience and the nation.”

“i am 26, and i have cancer. please don’t take my obamacare away”!

the romnians had better have an answer

This may be exactly the reason Romney delivers his major foreign policy speech BEFORE the next debate, understanding he arrives as Custer surrounded, but Republicans facilitate these bushwhacks every cycle.

Republicans - the stupid party.

Uh...the topic will be Foreign Policy. The lesbians who demand birth control (?) would be out of order. This debate will be heavy on the Middle East mess, so Romney should have plenty of ammunition.
