Math-Challenged Silly People Voting Libertarian Cost GOP Victory in At Least 9 Congressional Races
Reaganite Republican ^ | 16 November 2012 | Reaganite Republican

The good news comes via instapundit:

PEOPLE WILL LOVE THIS: Libertarians provided the margin for Democrats in at least nine elections. It’s particularly sad that libertarians didn’t back Mia Love. Really, you’re not going to vote for a candidate whose favorite economist is Bastiat? Apparently not.

So thanks Paulbot idiots- it all went-down just like we told you it was going to.

Any independent or Libertarian candidate running on the right is as much an enemy to American conservatives as are the progs: in our two-party system these people have zero chance of achieving real power or accomplishing anything meaningful, and are about as relevant as the Whig Party.

That is, unless you count 'handing elections to Democrats', where they get to throw a tantrum, be heard, and do damage to conservatives- why does anybody think Ron and Rand Paul ran as Republicans? Because they want to WIN and take power, not sit at home dreaming about it- that's why

Yep. Feds got a big ‘FU’ from CO and WA over mj. They’ll get the same with a small arms treaty, except it won’t be confined to 2 states.

Obamacare is authoritarian. It forces people in Texas to pay for healthcare in Washington.

This is why Obamacare has to go. Why do you think the enemy is fighting so hard to keep it? They know because they can pick off stuff like this and load everyone to pay for it.

The same goes for alcohol treatment as well. Last I checked ‘medical’ alcohol wasn’t being given to people.

Last I checked WA was on the border, and yes, it’s going to be a major, major smuggling point into the US for distribution elsewhere.

So despite the fact that 18 states have medical mj programs that rake in billion$, you can’t provide any examples of cartels interfering with them. And so another discredited drug war talking point goes up in smoke.

Used to be...

For most of the 1920s, a patient could get a prescription for one pint every 10 days about as easily as California patients can now get "recommendations" for medical marijuana. All it took to acquire a liquor prescription was cash — generally about $3, the equivalent of about $40 today — placed in the hand of an agreeable doctor. It cost $3 to $4 more to have it filled by the local pharmacist.

Good thing pot was legalized just in time so we can all pay for it through Obamacare!

Your example is California. You want the nation to emulate California?

CA turned down legalized pot. Do you want the nation to emulate CA?

Obama is going after medical mj clinics. Do you want to be like Barak?

Still waiting for you to provide examples of cartels going after medical mj suppliers and retailers. Do you have any?

And you still haven’t addressed the point that rights have equivalent responsibilities.

Why are Texas people being asked to pay for treatment clinics for people in Washington? Is this right?

Last I heard, ethanol was still used to treat methanol poisoning.

Because of fedgov contempt for the Constitution, specifically the Tenth Amendment. And yet, you advocate an even further erosion of the Tenth by fedgov because you think you won't have to pay as much.

That's called being a whore for the war on drugs.

JC, you're simply wrong and don't answer simple questions. Marijuana, meth, etc. can be and are produced within our borders and they are still outlawed.

Why do you waste your time propping up failed progressive policies from a 100 years ago? When are they finally going to work? Do you ask yourself any questions about this?

I voted for Romney. I had a Romney yard sign in my yard. I oppose gay marriage, it’s an oxymoron. Legalizing drugs is constitutional and pro-freedom. How am I wrong?

On the last point. I don’t believe we should be legalizing drugs. Near as I can see this is a fundamental difference between social conservativism and classical liberalism.

I have lived in an area which lifted the ban quite some time ago and have seen it’s effects firsthand.

We don’t need it. We can’t afford the consequences and it’s destructiveness to people and society in general.

>> They are pro-abortion, pro-gay, pro-drugs, and anti-foreign defense footprint.

This generalization is getting old.

It’s accurate.

So, let’s say “old and accurate”.

Maybe for one living in an orthogonal world.

I’m a pro-life libertarian. Not for homosexual marriage, not “pro gay”, not a drug user, and not an isolationist.

GE, I fully believe that you are a pro-life libertarian.

I’m talking about the organized group called the Libertarian Party. Gary Johnson ran on a pro-choice platform, against the drug war, in favor of gay marriage, and an end to America’s foreign defense footprint.

There’s really no denying it. In fact, Ron Paul was famous for his defense statements during the so-called debatres.

So, when people talk about libertarians being pro-abortion, they’re talking about the group that speaks for the Libertarian Party, the group normally associated with libertarianism.
