One of the Boston Bombers has been caught after a fierce firefight with police officers. According to police, the suspect who shot multiple police officers at MIT this evening was one of the bombers.

Armed to the teeth, the suspect fired on police late Thursday night into Friday morning. Early reports say he killed one officer in cold blood, while also injuring other law enforcers.

The suspect was also reported to have grenades, as well as either an automatic or semi-automatic weapon.

The police were able to apprehend the suspect after a gun battle. Police officials have confirmed that the gunman was one of the Boston bombers.

In a tweet by the news agency News Breakers, they wrote:

1 Marathon bombing suspect caught; another on the loose in Watertown after firefight w/ police, officials said.
We will have more on the story as it develops.

His cowardly family took down his Facebook ‘missing’ site. Of course, he never was really ‘missing’...

Maybe he turned in to a walker. They say he is dead, shot and not dead. What other option is there?

Sunil’s big sister had this posted at the time of his disappearance:

Have You Seen Sunil Tripathi?

If so, please let his family know. “He is a talented musician, a saxophonist, a philosophy major, a critical thinker, and a kind quiet son and brother. We miss his warm smile and generous gentle spirit so very much.”

I wonder if the family knows more than what they are leading us to believe. On that youtube video they sure don’t sound very sad.

From the Times of India (which is hot on it, because the dude is\was of INDIAN EXTRACTION and was an NRI (non Resident India), aparantly had American nationality, a student in the USA. I would examine any connections with OWS movement OR radical ISLAM right away!!! Text: (Posted in India April 9th/Times ofIndia):

"Family of missing Indian-American student issues video appeal --PTI Apr 9, 2013, 09.30AM IST WASHINGTON: The anxious family of 22-year-old Indian-American Sunil Tripathi, who went missing on March 16, has issued a passionate video plea for him to return home. "Not knowing Sunil's whereabouts, we feel strongly about communicating with him directly," said Judy Tripathi, Sunil's mother in the short video released yesterday. "Each of us wants to express to Sunil our unconditional love and support, and how much we long for him to be back with us," she said. Through the video, Sunil's sister Sangeeta is eager to tell him about her recent trip to East Africa. "I brought a soccer jersey home for you, as I always do. I am so looking forward to seeing you wearing it," she said. Law enforcement agencies continue to receive tips, while diligently investigating each one. An undergraduate student from the Brown University, Sunil went missing on March 16. He left his cell phone, ID and wallet in his room, where he was last seen by his room-mate at 11 am on March 16. Born and brought up in Kanpur, Sunil lives in Pennsylvania where he runs a software company. Families, residents, and local businesses of the Providence community have joined the authorities and Brown University, to trace him. "We are grateful to so many people and groups, not only in Providence, but also in far-reaching locales, including service organizations dedicated to the safe return of missing persons," said Akhil Tripathi, Sunil's father. "Our time here has made us think a lot about the importance of family and community. In many ways, Sunil has brought us together and given us a chance to bond. We look forward to sharing many of our stories with him soon," said Ravi his brother."

Will be interesting to find out if he has had any counseling . Holmes, Loughner and Cho had all been known to have huge emotional problems.

From Philly.com, some weeks back, when the dude went missing. Wonder if he was on (of OFF) meds of some sort. That of course is another angle. If there were a lot of weapons involved in tonight's shootout on MIT, then watch for the National Gun Grabbers to seize on that point, more so than any mental illness, enamoration with Che Guevara, or bowing down to Mecca on a rug five times a day:

Frustration continues in search for Sunil Tripathi By Mari A. Schaefer, INQUIRER STAFF WRITER Posted: March 30, 2013 Where is Sunil Tripathi? A surveillance video has given the family a sliver of hope, but two weeks after he disappeared, investigators say they are no closer to solving the mystery of his whereabouts. "We don't have a direction, we don't have a possible area," said Det. Mark Sacco, of the Providence, R.I., Police Department. "That is the strange part of the case - it starts and ends in his room." The 2008 Radnor High School graduate was last seen March 16 by his Brown University-area housemates who told police Tripathi was around that Saturday morning. At some point, the 22-year-old Bryn Mawr native walked out of his room leaving behind his wallet, credit cards, cell phone, and what has been described as a vaguely worded note. When his close friends were unable to reach Tripathi, they contacted police to report him missing. In the last two weeks numerous law-enforcement investigators, family and friends have searched coffee shops, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, hospitals and morgues. They have visited stores, neighborhoods, and hiked along Providence rivers at low tide. "Every ounce of property within walking distance - a 3-mile radius - had been covered," said Sacco. Foul play is not suspected. Sacco would not reveal the contents of the note found in Tripathi's room. An FBI forensic analysis of his computer, bank, and phone turned up no clues to his whereabouts. A surveillance video taken the night before he disappeared from a nearby business recently surfaced. It shows a man fitting the description of the lanky 6-foot, 130-pound Tripathi walking in his neighborhood. Police haven not been able to say definitively it is the missing man, but the footage has encouraged the family. "I do believe it is him," said Ravi Tripathi, 26, the missing man's brother. The close-knit family has traveled to Rhode Island, and the video, he said, has given them information to use in their search. "Sunny" as he is known, had taken a leave from Brown University where he was studying philosophy. He was volunteering at a local library while deciding his next steps, Ravi Tripathi said. His brother, who suffers from depression, was in constant contact with his family through calls, Facebook, or texts, he said. They last heard from him the night before he disappeared. The "Help Us Find Sunil Tripathi" Facebook page has helped drive national attention to the case. It generated more than 1.2 million unique views in its first week, and, as of Friday, had more than 4,400 followers. Volunteers plastered posters around Providence and at Philadelphia's 30th Street Station and at regional-rail stations. The calls and tips have come in from South Carolina, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Boston and, of course, Rhode Island. "It is social media that has taken [the exposure] to the next level," said Sacco. He said the exposure has gone beyond what his department could do. Sacco asks that any persons who believe they have seen Sunil Tripathi contact their local police departments, who will be able to assist in tracking down any evidence, such as nearby surveillance video.
