When I was a kid at that time we had migrant workers.
They came for seasonal work.
They camped, they committed no crimes and when the season was over they went home, taking their wages with them.
Lather rinse repeat.
Now they have more rights than you.
That is what has changed.

Oversimplified. The 1968 Gun Control Act requires paperwork to buy a firearms from someone with an FFL, but not for a private transaction. Local gun laws aside, of course...this is hardly the case in NYC or Washington DC (or even Colorado as of this month).

If you know where to "shop", you can buy nearly anything. It's getting harder to do as time goes by (harder meaning more $$$ required but the basic premise is still true)

that was when our currency was based on gold. it no longer is.

today, gold is personal property just like your car, jeans, bike or baseball glove. it’s yours to do with as you see fit.
