NYPD 'Pigs': Another 'Hard Hat Riot' could erupt as marchers again taunt cops

It may be a case of everything old is new again. Much like during the turbulent late '60s and early '70s when more than just a few hard-left individuals managed to get their images splashed across television screens across the planet, much like their forefathers of almost half a century ago, today's members and supporters of The Revolutionary Communist Party, USA are propagating as loud as they can to convince the masses that police departments across the nation are dyed-in-the-wool racists, referred to as "Pigs," who seek to murder as many blacks and Latinos as possible.

Despite his critics decrying as a case of too little too late, Mayor Bill de Blasio is asking protesters to take a break from marching though Manhattan until the recently murdered Officers Ramos and Liu are buried, as reported by CNN via KFOR (of Oklahoma City, OK) on Dec. 23, 2014. Nevertheless, protesters have overwhelmingly decided to ignore de Blasio's call by clogging the streets of Manhattan's Upper East Side bastion of liberalism. Amid chants of “Hey-hey, ho-ho. These racist cops have got to go”; others carried signs saying “Jail killer cops” while others toted placards emblazoned “Stop the war on Black America.”(continued)

That was my first thought when I saw the title of the thread. There was some hard-hat guy grinning with a toothpick in the corner of his mouth. The hippie's face was bouncing off the sidewalk, the hard-hat's palm against the back of the hippie's head and his fist hitting the back of his hand!

I know it's difficult in words but the cartoon was classic!

The cops should try a more effective tactic. Line the streets with lights, then back off of the protesters, then spray the protesters down with some of those highly slippery materials recently developed.... http://www.popsci.com/science/article/2011-11/new-slippery-material-may-finally-liberate-last-drop-ketchup

THEN just film them trying to stand, throw things and basically post the antics on youtube with Benny Hill music in the back ground... Humiliation is a powerful weapon. If it can be done in a group, even better.

I was in Van Nuys during the Watts riots. Things were pretty tense.

Where are the grandmothers of yesteryear of these communities that reigned in ignorant behavior . . . .oh, wait a minute. . .now they are out in the streets with the rest of them. Change happens. . . for years in America and not for the good.

“Everything old is new again.”

I was a teen when my dad took me to a Communist May Day parade in NYC in 1948. They had the usual banners decrying anything U.S.

Near the end, a group of marchers were chanting “1-2-3-4 we don’t want another war 5-6-7-8 Henry Wallace in ‘48”. Suddenly a group of stevedores charged in chanting “2-4-6-8 Henry Wallace suffocate” and began beating the crap out of the Reds.

They started to break up as the polce waded in swinging their batons. My dad pointed to a group of them and commented “You can tell the experienced cops from the new ones.” I asked him “How?” and he pointed out that the newbies swung their clubs up and down, cracking heads - and getting nowhere. The old pros were holding their clubs horizontally and pumping them like pistons into the rioters bellies, who folded like card tables. The crowd was soon broken up into small groups.

Then the mounted cops rode in, moving their horses sideways and pushing back the lot of them off the street and on to the sidewalk. (You get a big horse shoving his butt against you and you WILL move.) The whole thing was over in five minutes. I marveled how quick it was over and got my first lesson in crowd control.

[sidebar I] During the melee, I saw some police single out a few women who wore large floppy hats, and land a blow or two on them. I thought that was a bit much, until I found out later that those women held their hats on with large pins, which they used to stab the horses who were crowding them.
[sidebar II} I got another lesson, this time in the duplicity of the Communists. The march route was from 59th St (Columbus Circle) down to Union Square (14th St) - about two miles. In order to give the illusion they had a lot of members, when the lead group got down to 14th St, they got on the subway, rode up to 59th and joined the rear guard.

Helluva education that day.

Why don’t you communists for once try protesting about something you actually care about.

Instead of using propaganda, scapegoats, straw men, lies and more lies.

Here’s a scary thought for you—once you decide to change and become honest, you’ll drop communism like a rotten egg.

1 of 2 things must happen. Either these verminous protesters get put down ASAP; or the police just leave and let chaos set in.
