By saying he was in a helicopter that was hit by enemy fire–when in fact nothing of the sort actually happened–Brian Williams lied. His subsequent statements calling his lies a “mistake” is another lie. Williams clearly tried to steal some of the valor of those who have actually been under fire; and now that he has been exposed as a fraud, he is pleading with us to accept his actions as a “mistake.”
A “mistake” is what has happened when you wear one black shoe and one brown shoe; it is what has happened when you leave your door unlocked. Trying to label his lies as a “mistake” is an insult to the very word mistake.
The revelation that Brain Williams has been lying to us all along may come as a shock to only a few bitter clinging liberals who prefer their news be supportive of their politics regardless of the truth.
Moreover, the Williams lie is a very special lie. Anyone who has seen the NBC “On Demand” promo featuring Williams talking to us in his studied theatrical pace knows that even as he was telling us how we need not bother with the news during the day because...

He also “covered” Katrina and claims to have seen floating bodies and says he got dysentary while there. Hmmmmmmm.
He’s gone. I think they put him on paid leave while they look for his replacement but he’s finished. The lefty media knows he’s cooked and they’re going to bail on him too.
Just this morning, I reviewed some email correspondence from 15 months ago concerning a personnel decision that was made back then. I found that my memory wasn't all that clear on some minor details but my memory was accurate on the major issues.
I’ve never understood why so many liberals are tempted to exaggerate or completely make up stories about their military involvement. Even if you disagree with the causes of the wars our men and women in service are fighting for, is it too much to ask that we all honor their service by not laying false claim to the respect and honor that they earned?

Same here. Why, after the Battle of San Juan Hill, I was perfectly honest. I didn’t storm the hill, I ran away downhill as fast as I could.

Anyone with any intellect to speak of has felt this way for the past 40 years. “Affirmative Action” Wherein people who can’t meet spec for a job are allowed to do it anyway as everyone around makes believe that simple common sense hasn’t been outraged. This UP TO AND INCLUDING SITUATIONS WHERIN DEATH IS A RESULT. Doesn’t get any stupider than that...

A mistake can be forgiven. Being wrong can be forgiven. Misremembering can be forgiven. Flat out lies are not forgivable, especially when they’re intentionally repeated many times.
But, again, just like that other liberal “icon” from CBS (Dan Rather), Brian’s story is just a “fake but accurate” story.
Are there any decent and credible liberal hosts and reporters out there. Doesn’t seem to be any. “
Anchors have done that for years, not just Williams. Field reporters submit stories and they either run them or not.

I searched around NBCNEWS.COM for about 20 minutes trying to find a way to email them what I thought about this liar. Finally found the “contact” link and got a “505 Server Error, Contact not found “.
Yep, they’re investagate-un “how all this could happen.” They’re so busy they ain’t got no time to listen to anyone.....
I never watched this a$$hole before, but at least now I can preface anything I ever say about him with “Lyin-Brian”.....:0)
