NASA May Have Invented a Warp Drive
IGN ^ | April 28, 2015 | David Porter

Posted on 04/28/2015 11:32:50 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

The EmDrive, an experimental propulsion device, may be producing a warp field.

According to posts on the NASA Space Flight forum, when lasers were fired into the EmDrive resonance chamber, it was found that some of the beams were travelling faster than the speed of light.

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)

If this is true, then it would mean that the EmDrive is producing a warp field or bubble. A forum post says that "this signature (the interference pattern) on the EmDrive looks just like what a warp bubble looks like. And the math behind the warp bubble apparently matches the interference pattern found in the EmDrive."

Nothing has been confirmed yet, but it could mean that NASA is one step closer to achieving faster than light travel. This will be especially useful if there are any developments in its renewed search for extraterrestrial life.

Somebody needs to build a big railgun, just shoot them into the sun.

Are they sure they’re logged in? (Have been waiting to use that)

That was the Orion project. It was banned over nuclear hysteria.

...its renewed search for extraterrestrial life.

I'm not sure searching for ET is necessarily a good idea. There is a 50/50 chance that they would simply be marauding invaders - why chance it?

ITOH, searching for "class M" planets to colonize? You bet - two thumbs up...

Great! Now eliminate the TSA and DHS. Why? Because now you can go back in time and stop the terrorists.

If F=ma, and it does, then only particles (like photons) travel the speed of light, mass cannot!

True. Einstein's theory actually states that nothing with mass can be accelerated to the speed of light, as it would require an infinite amount of energy. At near-light speeds, acceleration causes noticeable mass increases. Mass increases make an object harder and harder to accelerate, ultimately reaching into the infinite. Interestingly, the theory does allow for something that was already traveling faster than light to exist. They call these theorized entities "tachyons".

Nope. Matter itself cannot move through space faster than the speed of light. Period. That’s what Einstein said.

However, space itself can — see “inflation” post Big Bang.

A “warp bubble” is a loophole: Wrap matter or energy in a piece of space and then move that space at faster than the speed of light. The matter or energy is not moving faster than light within that space (frame), but the frame itself can.

At least that’s the theory (and how the math works out)...

This is BS. Somebody wants a govt research grant, and the taxpayer is getting fleeced again.

but it could mean that NASA is one step closer to achieving faster than light travel.

That would be a big step since we cant even approach a fraction of the speed of light today...

E=mc^2 has never been proven

E=mc^2 is what fuels the stars.

Re: "I want off this ROCK and away from liberals!!!" lol I know what you mean. There was a smash hit Broadway musical (produced by legendary David Merrick) called "Stop the World - I Want to Get Off"--also made into a film

“What happen to nuclear explosive research”

Project Orion got cancelled when the senate ratified the Limited Test Ban Treaty, no more atmospheric nuke shots, so no Orion starship.

The Relationship between E=Mc^2 and F=ma:

When finally accomplished the relationship between Einstein’s E = Mc2 energy equation and Newton’s F = ma inertial force equation is not as simple and straightforward as might be expected. As will be seen, the problems lie first in clarifying the true meanings of the two different equations and then in the need to relativize Newton’s inertial force equation to make it compatible with Einstein’s energy equation. Fortunately, this latter requirement was already accomplished in earlier works by this author as will be shown during the analysis. An unexpected final discovery is that there are actually two different forms of energy. More specifically, it is found that energy has both a constant and relative value consistent with the overall principles of relativity.

We actually have the tech to do so, but thanks to leftscum nuke hysteria and the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, we have shelved that tech for decades. Sigh...

At the end of the thread, there's a posting saying that an article will be published tomorrow

Unless they post it using the new device, in which case it will be published yesterday.

I want off this ROCK and away from liberals!!!

You will get the opportunity sooner than most of us would like.

Once science discovers God many great discoveries will be made.

If they need a test subject point it at the Capitol building and see how far across the galaxy they can send it.
