Every single white person alive today is "complicit" in slavery, according to Assistant Professor of Humanities Adam Kotsko, and should kill themselves. Dr. Kotsko teaches at Shimer College in Chicago.
According to Dr. Kotsko, if you are white, and even if your ancestors never owned slaves, you are still complicit for it. When asked what white people should do because of it, Kotsko said whites "should commit mass suicide:"
Kotsko defended his statements to other Twitter users who found his accusation ridiculous:
He then went on to say that "whiteness" exists only to "subordinate and exploit other races:"
Kotsko was in the news earlier this year for claiming that the writers of Charlie Hebdo should have expected to be horribly murdered because they tried to offend people:
