The press are your enemy. Treat them that way and don't back down. Not only is it the way to get elected, it's the way to govern too.
Last week Rob explained one of the main reasons Donald Trump continues to lead the Republican nomination race, in spite of having spent only $2 million on his campaign so far. In essence, Trump understands what traditional Republican candidates don’t about how to deal with the media: Don’t take their crap, don’t let them intimidate you and don’t be afraid to call them on their idiocy and dishonesty.
Perhaps you’ve noticed that Ben Carson is in second place. And in case you haven’t noticed that Carson has learned the exact same lesson and is applying it well, behold. You’ve rarely seen a more beautiful take-down of the news media than this - and in their house, no less - and it simply comes from understanding what they do and not being afraid to call them out:
I love it. If there is one thing the media hates, its the truth that doesn’t fit their agenda.
Until or unless the MSM remembers what their actual role is... they are criminally irresponsible with their incessant meddling in events.
It's NOT about THEM... they should REPORT... not EDIT or CREATE news. PERIOD!
They have made themselves irrelevant to any reasoning voters... they need to return to their charter... unbiased and responsible fact collecting and broadcasting.

I’ve long maintained that an effective way to neuter the media is to go nuclear on their advertisers and subscribers.
The imposition of a 100% federal tax on every ad buy would be a nice start.
IRS audits of subscribers to the New York Times and Washington Post would be a joy to behold.
Except that if Congress where to start making laws governing News Media outlets, all hell breaks lose.
We’ll cry and cry and then they’ll make laws, then we’ll cry and cry and cry even more.
So Carson thinks if he becomes more like Trump, he’ll win? NOT A CHANCE!!!!!!
I’ve been watching him evolve quickly in this campaign. He’s obviously studying Trumps techniques, which is smart. IMHO he’s too soft at this stage in his political career. I like him, but he’s vp material at best during this cycle, and I’m not proposing that Trump choose him BTW.

The press is criminally RESPONSIBLE! What communists/totalitarians/control-freaks coerce, the American media enthusiastically provides. No dictator ever had it as easy as the big gov’t types here in the US.
We no longer have the free press envisioned by the Founders. Our press is bound by their bigotry and prejudices to serve the socialist agenda, the homosexual agenda, the anti-Christian agenda and slant their coverage of events to suit the Left. There are sins of commission, as when they publicize Harry Reid’s outrageous lie that Romney paid no taxes for 10 years, and omission, as they choose to ignore the corruption of Hillary and Bill Clinton.
The result is a profession which no one trusts. It should be eliminated from the college curriculum because it is a waste of time and money for students to major in journalism in the era of the internet.
Watch the video clip on the site and you’ll understand better what Dr. Carson is saying. I’m not sure I agree with the author in comparing him to Trump, but Dr. Carson does project courage with his words.
Trump trashes the RINO media Fox well, but he needs to go after the Marxist media more than he does now.

If you listened to Trump’s speech in Georgia this past weekend, he trashed them better than all the other candidates did put together...
I hate the media too. They have chosen the path of nihilism and destruction. They lie, cheat and steal to promote lies. Do not trust the media or believe anything they say.
I have named the media The Anti-Christ’s messenger.
And who, pray tell, are Dr. Carson’s “handlers”? No, he’s not my first choice, but he’s among my top three.

I have done so and the central figure in the Super PACs (there is more than one) supporting Dr. Carson seems to be John Phillip Sousa IV, who is very conservative and always has been. I can’t find anything negative about Sousa, other than some criticism by liberals, which I’m perfectly cool with.
Unfortunately, it takes a LOT of money to be elected to president and virtually every candidate, aside from Donald Trump - for now, is supported by one or more PACs, super or otherwise. I see a pretty significant difference between Right to Rise (the Super PAC supporting Bush) and the 2016 Committee, the PAC supporting Dr. Carson.
