Donald Trump Massive Lead In New Jersey Trump 32%, Chris Christie 5%
by sundance
Rutgers Eagleton has conducted another poll (full pdf below) of New Jersey voters. Donald Trump retains his lead at 32% surging 11 additional points since the last poll. New Jersey governor Chris Christie is defeated within his own state, garnering only 5% support.
(Via Washington Examiner) New Jersey governor and Republican presidential hopeful Chris Christie is being told by voters across the board in his home state to call it a day.
The establishment candidate, who once flew high in the GOP field, is down to just 5 percent support in the latest Rutgers-Eagleton poll of New Jersey voters. His favorability ratings are tanking, and nearly 70 percent of voters say he should end his campaign.
“Christie no longer has any home state advantage,” Ashley Koning, assistant director of the Rutgers University’s Eagleton Center for Public Interest Polling, said in a press release Thursday. “The voters who know him best blame not his competition, but what Christie himself is doing or not doing for New Jersey.” (read more)

Trump way ahead of Christie in NJ.
Trump way ahead of Graham in SC.
Trump way ahead of Rubio in FL.
Trump way ahead of Bush in FL.
Is there a pattern developing?

Well well well, seems like Krispy walked away from the call to run in 2012 in that well scripted cake walk to the nomination for Romney. Yeb was supposed to get it this time. Krispy was on deck for 2020 with Rubio as a backup in case of a coronary. But Mr Trump happened. Too flipping bad. If Krispy wanted it he should have taken it from Romney when he had the chance.

Yeh if Trump peaks any higher he will absolutely have to drop out. LOL!

I think Trump can win New Jersey AND New York!

In a very short time people will forget the names of the “other guys.” They SHOULD cut down the number of people on the stage next time but they won’t so they can keep Trump from eating Senior Amnesty’s lunch. It will be in “Mister Trump’s neighborhood” as it will be about the economy. How do the rest of them defend this economy?

As a NJ resident, Christie is despised by all stripes here. He got off to a good start but had drifted left over the last 3 years, exposing his true colors or his political opportunism. The Obama stunt was the last straw for conservatives in the stated and he’s gone down hill from there. Trump is actually one of us and NJ could be considered one of his home states. He has golf courses in the state, the former casinos and as we are inundated with the NYC media market, he’s been a presence here forever. Check out his 2005 SNL appearance ‘Trump’s House of Wings’ in Englewood NJ. Funny stuff.

I live in NJ and I agree with everything you wrote in post 38. Christie Kreme should drop out. The donuts aren’t any better in the WH than what he can get in any number of good bakeries in NJ... not to mention NYC. And as long as he doesn’t traffic-jam the bridge he can get over there pretty quickly.
