Yes of course we know the media is an enemy of freedom. Their lies prove that every day; but sometimes it gets a little too old and tired to sit by and make believe we don’t know they are liars. A recent insane lie from the New York Times (naturally) breathlessly announced not only is Greenland melting but when it does fade away, the worldwide sea level will increase by 20 feet! This would, of course, effectively bring about the end of the world for all but a few backward tribes living in mountains somewhere. This claim doesn’t come from a brief article written by a dyslectic halfwit who wrote some numbers backwards. It is the essence of an “in depth†article.
The Times used data collected by purchasable “climate scientists†who claimed to have gone to the island nation.
As the Times put it, “For years, scientists have studied the impact of the planet’s warming on the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets. But while researchers have satellite images to track the icebergs that break off and have created models to simulate the thawing, they have little on-the-ground information and so have trouble predicting precisely how fast sea levels will rise.â€
A foolishly proud professor from a say- anything-for-money, climate change institute, said, “No one has ever collected a data set like this.†Considering the magnitude of the lie, I believe this part. The professor might be right since the Times didn’t bother to wait for the entire report before it declared the melting of Greenland would result in the 20 foot rise in sea levels. That claim hasn’t been made yet, even by the bought and paid for scientists.

I have yet to see anyone tell me why a forest wouldn’t grow there or anywhere else that ice melts. Trees hold water too.

I live in Upstate New York (the sane portion). I have been looking forward to the year when I don’t have to drive 1,400 miles every Winter to be able to enjoy the month of March. I still have to drive the same distance I did 15 years ago. What’s with that?
I have to say that the Chinese do not believe this, they are building man made islands in the South China Sea that are only one meter in height. If they don’t believe the sea is gonna rise, why should we?

Now it is still freezing at Easter time...
But I think the “Ice Boom” is responsible for that. One spring I was at a park in Lancaster and we were in shorts and t-shirt throwing a frisbee, and I had to go downtown Buffalo that afternoon, and I had to put on a winter jacket.
That stupid Ice Boom is a royal pain in the ass. They should just put protective barriers around the niagara intake turbines and stop freezing the rest of Buffalo each spring

I agree. We celebrate Easter at my Mom inlaws house right where the ice boom is, sometimes it is very nice, other times freezing cold. It varies year to year.
They could easily put up ice breaks near the intakes, wedges even to force the ice away from shore. They also have an ice breaking tug boat that is constantly going back and forth by them.
