The Left's Newest Nasty Trick
The Gateway Pundit ^ | 2/1/2016 | Self

Posted on 02/01/2016 10:20:52 AM PST by Boomer

The left is using a successful dirty political trick to get the most unelectable candidate as their opposing nominee. In this case I believe that person to be Donald Trump.

They learned this trick from the recent French Le Pen elections where they crossed party lines and voted for Le Pen's opponent. The left may be lying, cheating, diabolical thieves but they are not stupid in the ways of politics and they learn quick. They don't have to worry about ethics and honor like the right does.

The real chaos is by leftists masquerading as anti Trump conservatives.

My thought also... The Dems are terrified of Trump because he will say anything he wants to about the democrat nominee...nothing can shut him up!

Sorry but this is an asismine theory and a copout that’s cropping up from the sour grapes Cruz, Faux, NatReview, sour grapes bleacher section that sees their impending DEFEAT looming.

The reason why Trump will win is because of all of those people standing out in the cold, and all of those at his rallies and because he’s not bought and paid for by Wall St., the Chamber of Commerce and the GOPe.

EMBRACE YOUR FAIL

Just hope that the nomination doesn’t come down to Washington State’s primary on May 24. It should all be decided by then but if it’s not there could be trouble.

We have a caucus and a primary. The Dems will be determining all of their delegates through the caucus and the Republicans will be determining ALL delegates through the primary. In Washington, it’s an open primary meaning anyone can vote for any candidate. People will receive a Dem and a Rep. ballot. They will have to sign which party they are for this primary only. I can see the liberals in the state jumping in to vote for the candidate they want their Dem to run against.

Based on a complete ignorance of the fact that the Demcorats have their own race that is running neck and neck.

But of course, anything to avoid dealing with the fact their chosen one is losing the primary.

It not that they are losers! The other side is cheating!

Democrats got lucky with this “trick” in a Missouri senate election a few years ago. Democrat Senator Claire McCaskill ran ads to get Todd Akin elected in the primary, which he won. She thought he would be an easier candidate to beat.

She was wrong however because Todd Akin was beating her in all of the polls. That is until Karl Rove opened his fat mouth on television and said he was pulling all support from Todd. Rove practically endorsed McCaskill right then and there. This was all because Rove’s precious “electable” candidate lost to Todd in the primary.

Had Rove not stabbed Todd Akin in the back, the Republicans would have won that senate seat.

The same lesson applies in the 2016 election. If the GOPe truly wants the Republican nominee to win (and that is a big assumption), then they should support the nominee. The Democrats might mistakenly think Trump would lose to Hillary, when in fact he is the only Republican who can beat her.

If you really want to take a step back, who do the liberals least want to run against? Yeb! ‘the smart brother’ as Robin Williams famously declared. Ran Florida as a moderate, didn't leave the state a disaster, only thing they have to hit him on would be the Bush dynasty, which he seems well prepared for.

Cruz - that's an easy one, a little less so for Rubio - he's part of the obstructionist congress that won't pass anything useful. The leader of the party of no work.

While some liberals might fantasize about battling Trump, I'm sure party leaders least want to face him. Especially after the racist memes just utterly failed to spark much of a reaction from the public, and just might have given him more votes.

I never thought anything else. Right from the start it was known that a lot of his support was coming from outside the party. The same thing happened in 2008 for Obama and Hillary.

I think Trump is a hero for bringing up important issues no one else would bring up like illegal immigration and the muslim problem.

Just as easy to say he is using those topics as hot button issues to get people on the right to vote for him in an anti-Left/Dem fervor.

If he is and it works, we'll have Hillary Lite for the next 4 years.

Trump: Strong leadership skills. Can get things done, but can I trust that he will get the right things done? He undoubtedly strongly loves the USA. Looking at the team around him Trump has the ability to build a strong team and lead. So with reservation, I will offer him the job based on that element of his character. Strong fighter who unabashed love of the USA. I will rely on that love of the USA to lead him in the right direction.

Cruz: I can trust Cruz to do the right things, but would he be effective in a leadership roll or will he simply alienate everyone he has to work with? Does he love his political theories or the USA more? So do I hire him just because he looks good on paper? Sadly, no.

Rubio: Good at sales but not leadership material. He is a born follower, not a leader. Too unprincipled to be an effective leader. Too easily lead by others.

The Dems?

Clinton, arrogantly corrupt, recklessly incompetent, shameless sense of entitlement. Obviously loathes everything that make she USA exceptional. Would find a reason to terminate her employment asap.

Sanders: Rigid ideologue. Incapable of Leadership on any level due to his blind worship of his failed political dogmas. Live is a bubble world where theory trumps reality.

O’Malley: Pretty boy empty suit. Cannot figure out how he got hired for anything in the 1st place.

The rest? Good men and women but not anywhere near Presidential level.

“You go to YOUR church or YOUR neighbors house and stand up and declare your choice out loud in front of everyone.”

That is the case for the Dem caucus.
The Repub caucus is a paper ballot.

Please, the argument that trumps support is some sort of conspiracy by leftists is garbage.

Trump is winning simply because he is delivering a patriotic message at a time when both parties have spent decades betraying the country. It’s nothing more complicated than that.

If republicans had credibility by standing up to the left he would have been gone by now but because they have not folks are done with them

"...People like Donald Trump..."

Yep. That explains his atrocious "favorable" rating at RCP - the worst among *all* candidates GOP or DEM. The next closest unfavorable are 0bama and Clinton! That's bloody *saying* something!

Trump: Favorable/Unfavorable (at realclearpolitics.com)

Good synopsis!

This is why I love FR. For the most part we can discuss and even strongly disagree without getting too deep in the weeds with insults. (Waco biker threads not included)

Another more likely explanation is that the Democrats have openly move so far to the Left this year, the Reagan Democrats are coming back to the GOP.

Even Obama pretended to be a “center-Left” in 2008. The media was very careful to avoid looking too closely at 0’s real record. in 2012 Obama won simply because Romney was so bland and ineffective.

I am in Dubuque iowa, historically a very Union democrat heavy area in NE iowa. Yesterday, my father in law called to ask me how the Republican caucus works. This is a guy who has been in a union his whole life and never once voted for a Republican. He and his wife, sister, and her husband went to the Dubuque airport to listen to Trump. All 4 lifelong Dems that are now supporting Trump. Not because Trump is week, but because he is strong. The LOVE him. “Trump don’t take sh!t from anyone.” is how my father in law put it These aren’t folks that were ever truly liberal, they just voted that way because the union told them to. Avid hunters and gun collectors, Catholic, trades people - carpenter, machinist, school teacher, and a nurse. I was floored. These 4 have always been there for the taking, but it took a communicator like Trump to close the deal.
