Why Glenn Beck’s Media Empire Is Burning Down
Daily Beast ^ | 2/2/16 | Lloyd Grove

Posted on 02/03/2016 5:45:33 AM PST by Duke C.

Glenn Beck was thanked by Ted Cruz in his Iowa victory speech, but for all his ‘mad genius,’ the right-wing media firebrand’s media company has become an abyss of backbiting and paranoia.

Glenn Beck is beset by apocalyptic visions, sinister conspiracy theories, mind-blowing prophecies, mysterious illnesses, miraculous cures, and, yes, copious waterworks.

But of all of the hobgoblins fluttering through his mind, consistency isn’t one of them.

Beck regularly contradicts himself in word and deed—a trait that his less charitable associates call hypocrisy.

Posting this because I used to be a Beck follower. Sad to see him implode like this.

I still see Cruz handcuffed to Beck for some reason.

And Beck threw the keys away.

Beck is insane. Unless he gets some professional help in a hurry, there is no telling what he may do to himself.

I used to follow him, too. His expose’s on the Obama admin were amazing to watch. Once he got his own gig it went down hill. I think he hired too many “yes” men. No one seems willing to tell him he wrong.

i knew when i read about his “almost dying” from his illness, what it was and how he was cured, i felt for the guy, because he’s having a nervous breakdown live and he will go past the point one day.

i was a little younger and had about 10 really lousy symptoms of being sick. sore throat, headaches, stomach problems, ect blah blah

Finally, doctor tells me “you’re going through an early mid life crisis. you’ll be fine” or something to that effect.

i was able to think my way out of every symptom in about ten minutes.

that’s a true story.

of course i’m leaving out the times before when my ill feelings would last for half a year then go away :)

now i know what to look out for and stop it fast.

Because he's a nutcase?

We must be psychically linked. Those are the exact words that popped into my head.

Ditto the FORMER Beck follower.

I sent an email to his crubling empire saying he and his synchophants have become insufferable listening, the audio equivalent of a turd sandwich. 3 hours continuously filled with Cruz glorification and Tramp vilification is too much to tolerate.

I’m more a political guy than a sports guy, but Dan Patrick is on in the Beck timeslot in my area. Not a bad listen...

I’m waiting for the FEC to ring up charges on Beck for exceeding donation limits to a single candidate, his broadcast has become a 3 hour Cruz informercial, interrupted only by a few minutes of news and Cruz commercials.

I’ll occasionally listen to his show if I’m in the car at the time. It’s turned into a non-stop tongue-in-cheek fest. It’s like everything’s an inside joke. I don’t know what to take seriously.

Beck has serious mental illness. Aside from money, his paranoia and narcissism is comming out more and more.

Glenn Beck is beset by apocalyptic visions, sinister conspiracy theories

Anyone who dismisses what Beck did on his Fox News show as "apocalyptic visions, sinister conspiracy theories, etc, etc" is simply revealing the fact that they themselves don't know jacksh*t about the communist movement, past or present. Because damn near everything he said on that show was spot on accurate. I know a little bit about the communist movement myself, and the groups, individuals, the schemes, the alliances, he described and discussed there were for real. Only the far left, or a complete know-nothing jerk-O, would try to discount what he did on that show as "conspiracy theories".

He reminds me of Art Bell. He got so big that he went over the edge and turned into a drama queen.

So many things I wouldn’t have known without him; Cloward-Pevin comes to mind as well as Cass Sunstein-Samantha Power.
