Cruz supporters: Did Cruz's comments change your mind on him?
vanity | March 12, 2016 | Kevin "Coach" Collins

I am a Trump supporter but I would like to know if Cruz's comments about Chicago changed the mind of any of his supporters. Is it A) no difference I still support Cruz B) I am rethinking my support for Cruz C) I am now going to support another candidate or not voting?

“They’re trying to claim the arm-grabbing didn’t even happen, when we know it did.”

You have the advantage of information from much later, including the picture of the bruises.

If they did not see it, why would they believe it happened, especially if it was not Lewandoski who grabbed her?

You are not using critical thinking. It is not as if the media cartel hasn’t been on an all out attack mode on Trump.

I think Republicans are always vulnerable to being called racists, sexists or bigots. A candidate who is going to win has to be careful with what they say to avoid getting that pinned on him. Trump has not been careful with the KKK interview, Mexican rapists remarks, etc. A winning candidate has to be careful that what he says cannot be misinterpreted. They have to be smart about language. Their positions should not change, i.e. opposing affirmative action, opposing illegal immigration. But they can’t leave themselves vulnerable to negative sound bite clips being pulled.

"But I think a campaign bears responsibility for creating an environment when the candidate urges supporters to engage in physical violence to punch people in the face."

I think it's a hoot that Cruz says "the candidate URGES SUPPORTERS to engage in physical violence", and expects people to not think, "What? His supporters didn't engage in violence. His supporters were the VICTIMS of violence."

“No, Cruz merely stated the truth. He did not blame Trump for creating the violence. That’s disgusting to even make that claim.”

I’m disgusted by the Trump freepers for their actions.

Per Breitbart themselves in the "interest of transparency":

Contrary to what Donald Trump said Thursday evening after the GOP debate, the incident certainly happened. However, the person who made contact with Fields was likely not Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.

Exactly!!!

Post of the week!

Paine rallied the troops. Swell.

But Mark Levin should not revere him so much.

“I’d happily elect G.W. Bush again over Trump. At least Bush tried to reform Social Security”

That makes one of us!

Let’s see.... should I be concerned about Ted Cruz speaking his mind concerning Trump’s hate filled words and actions? No! Triumph has been a bully, NASTY and a liar throughout the primary season. Let’s face it, if it were the other way around, Trump would not have wasted a moment crucifying him. Trump is reaping what he has sowed.

Trump speaks largely unfiltered. There is upside and downside to that. I’ll take blunt outspokenness over careful political parsing at this point, though.

Cruz has been a strong second for me all along...

I've been careful not to criticize Cruz, but this caused me to do a 180.

I've always shut up and pulled the "R" lever even though I didn't like our candidate. I did it with Romney. Did it with Bush 2.

But loyalty is a two way street. I thought Cruz was different and though he wasn't my first choice, I believed he was decent. I've even defended him to friends who despise him because I thought he was a good guy. I knew I would vote for him if he was the Republican nominee.

I no longer believe that. In fact, I knew that he has more Bushies behind him than just Neil, but thought it wasn't a big deal. I wouldn't have been bothered by it, but today changed my opinion. This event showed me who he really is. Believe me, I take no pleasure in this.

Apparently the dissatisfaction is not limited to FR. Cruz has lost roughly 25% of his Twitter followers since last night, and his Facebook page is being bombarded with condemnation for taking the side of the leftist and BLM agitators.

The powers that run everything are not going to downsize/reform government EVER. Have they ever since you have been alive? It is how they fleece us. The Fed loans money to the gubmint at interest rates we are not allowed to know. The principal is never paid, only the interest. If the gubmint doesn’t spend then the FED can’t lend at unknown interest rates. The wheels on the bus go round and round.

The FED will never be audited. The powers have intentionally dumbed down Americans so they can’t think independently and realize how bad they are getting screwed.

They keep us all wrapped around the axle with race, ethnicity, gender and financial wars so we cannot mount a counter offensive.

They appear to give us a choice to vote for every four years. It is only the appearance of a CHOICE. This exercise in futility is to work out the aggressions in the underclasses so we don’t march down Pennsylvania with pitchforks and tar buckets. But post election we are expected to settle down, be quiet, accept the person placed in the office and pay the taxation without representation.

At the very least, Trump should say he’s going to get to the bottom of whoever did it and say that if they’re on his campaign, they will be disciplined.

The blanket denials coming out of Trump’s campaign sound in every way like the denials of people who know they got caught and are covering up, using lawyer language to weasel their way out of it.

This whole issue of BLM Nazi thugs denying free speech and free assembly to Trump and his supporters and the Cruz blaming it all on Trump, can only boost Trump vote counts in subsequent primaries. How can it not?

I voted for Cruz in the Senate race here in Texas, but voted for Trump in the primary. I will no longer support Cruz in the future for anything.

It changed mine. We vote on Tuesday in MO and I was planning on voting for Cruz. I am so disgusted with him not blaming the people disrupting the event and for political gain blaming Trump. I am going to vote Trump on Tuesday.
