The Only Way to Stop Trump
London Telegraph ^ | March 12th, 2016 | reasonmclucus

It’s probably too late for Republicans to keep Donald Trump from getting the Republican presidential nomination. There is a remote possibility that Gov. John R. Kasich could defeat Trump if Sen. Marco Rubio and Sen. Ted Cruz dropped out and threw their support to Kasich

“Bottom line, I don’t believe they will allow Trump to be president. God, I pray I’m wrong!”

Who is this “they” you mention? It sounds like you’re OK with “the end justifies the means”. You’re OK with lying.

Your people vowed to go “Full Mississippi” on Trump.

Posted on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 6:49:27 PM by Amntn

“When little known Chris McDaniel beat entrenched republican senator Thad Cochran in the first Mississippi primary of 2014 it triggered a series of events that became known simply as “Mississippi ‘14”.

“Stuart Stevens and Henry Barbour are assembled again to discuss the process of “taking down Trump”. Stevens fully admits to the Mississippi 2014 strategy and how it will work in 2016 against Donald Trump.

“So how do they do it? Simple, it’s war - a thermonuclear political war. There are no boundaries, there are no rules, there is nothing too far, there is nothing held back.

“They run attack ads, they’ll shout names and make up malicious smears; they’ll follow the candidate around to make noise at rallies; they lie about anything and everything; they’ll pay anyone and everyone to assist, and they don’t care if the high-information voter knows what they are doing; it’s all part of the overall scorched earth plan.

“They’ll pay people to do and say anything, ANYTHING. Winning is all that counts. Destroying the opponent is all that matters. Every means justifies that end. Period.

“The GOPe have already hired actresses and actors to appear in the attack ads and to make personal appearances, as actors, during Trump events. The hiring agency is Talent Direct Agency (TDA) - The actors and production teams are working out the script details right now.

“You see, it doesn’t actually matter if there’s any truth to the claim, the goal is to create an absurd hurricane wind of inbound attacks driven with increasing ferocity by the corporate media who will demand the candidate to respond.”

And, for you, it’s OK to “win” by becoming lower than whale shit in the ocean? That’s not actually “winning”.

Cruz is a weaselly lawyer. He really thinks he can manipulate anyone with his brilliance.

Typical lawyer, always willing to argue the most convenient side of any argument to serve his own needs.

Truly reprehensible and despicable.

I’m for Ted Cruz...I don’t think the establishment should be trying to “stop” any candidate. If Trump wins the nomination we should all rally to support him the same if any of the other candidates win. There are certain rules at play that all the candidates agreed to...one of those rules is the winner has to get 1237 delegates. It looks like Trump will meet that goal but if he does not then the rules of the nominating process take effect. I will be sorely disappointed if my guy loses...but to keep Hillary out of the Whitehouse I will gleefully support any winning candidate!!!

It has gotten so blatant and pervasive, the manipulation posing as news. I find it hard to believe people believe it but figure there are many that do. There is not a newcast I consider worth watching.

People need to know that Kasich is a fraud candidate. There are states that he never bothered to get the required amount of signatures to be on the state ballot.

PA is one of them. I have heard there may be others.

Kasich has a job, that is to win OH and take delegates so nobody else can win the required amount before the convention.

This was all done for Jeb Bush.

Do you even read your posts before hit that post button. If Rubio and Kasich drop out and those people choose Cruz then the people have chosen.....I have no idea that they will go to Cruz but if they do that’s called democracy at work....same as if they go to Trump!!!

I don’t like Kasich but if that is the plan then he has every right to do it. I have no doubt they feel the same about Ted Cruz. They don’t call politics bloodsport for no reason. Donald Trump is proving to be up to the game....he’s not exactly a shrinking violet!!!

Obviiously he has a right to do it, but people need to know the truth.

When the hell did I ever complain about freedom of speech?

My beef was with individuals and the press of a FOREIGN nation interfering in OUR election.

Do you have reading comprehension problems?

AFAIK, in Texas and probably other States as well, if one votes for a particular party in the primary they can only vote for that party in the general.

Georgia, the biggest Southern State second to Texas, has no party registration.

Who are you talking to? If you don’t know who “they” are then you’re way out of touch.

Read my tagline if you think I’m against Trump.

What we have is a fake candidate in Kasich...a splitter...who will give whatever delegates he has to whomever the GOPe tells him to. Is this a desription of democray in action? Why anyone who would vote for someone who absolutely cannot win because he can’t be on the ballot in enough states is a mystery.

Now many Cruz people might think this is great - Kasich will give his delegates to Cruz to keep Trump out. But then you have to ask why the GOPe would tell him to do this. Outsider? I think not.

Well that’s a fine theory and quite possible it doesn’t change the fact that he’s perfectly free to do that. The establishment is within their rights to play their games. In the end whether you like it or not the winner has to get 1237 delegates, on the first ballot or the thing goes to a contested convention. At that times all delegates are free to vote for whomever they want!!!

The delegates for the most part will do what they’re told.
