America, there's a lot more riding on Election 2016 than just the future of democracy as we know it.
At stake in November is also the approval of beloved Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
"I think we're going to see what Americans are made of in this upcoming election," Trudeau said.
Trudeau made the comment at a Bloomberg town hall interview with Bloomberg editor-in-chief John Micklethwait, which you can watch here.
Trudeau was responding to Micklethwait's question about how the Canadian prime minister would greet a Donald Trump presidency.
"How would you deal with The Donald if he got elected?" Micklethwait asked.
Trudeau had a ready response: "The fact is that the incredibly unique relationship and close friendship between our countries goes beyond any two individuals or ideologies," Trudeau began, with the ease of a practiced diplomat.
"There are always issues that you can find common ground on," Trudeau continued confidently, before Micklethwait abruptly called him out.
"What would be the obvious issues of common ground between you and Donald Trump?" the journalist asked with a touch of amusement.

The question drew laughter as the crowd recognized that Trudeau and Trump are at nearly opposite ends of the political spectrum, but Trudeau did recover quickly and find two ways he and Trump could possibly agree on something.
"A desire to see Americans do well. A desire to see citizens in our countries have better jobs and greater opportunities. Once you can come down on a frame that says, 'Let's create success,' then you get to discuss what the best way to create that success is," Trudeau said, scoring points for optimism.
"I have tremendous confidence in Americans' capacity to get the right result through their electoral system," he said.
"Even if that result is Donald Trump?" Micklethwait retorted.
Trudeau then got down to real talk.
"I think we're going to see what Americans are made of in this upcoming election," he said.
"There's a lot of anger against the establishment for different reasons. I think that the next president, whoever it is, is going to have to deal with some big questions around our governance -- your governance -- and how we create an economy that works for everyone."
There you have it. Don't let Trudeau down, America.
America = Poutine with beef chunks and JohnKerryHeinzKetchup?
He sounds more like a leader than Obama. He sees the handwriting on the wall, knows this will be our next president, and isn’t throwing bombs like Il Douche and the rest of the American political class.
Fop.
Snits and fails,
And Blue-dog tales
Or
Servers and lies
And everything flies
The guy is even dumber than Obama believe it or not. There are websites dedicated to the stupidity that comes out of his empty head. Google “Trudeu idiot”
And Trudeau shows what Canada is made of.....
What is Canada made of, pray tell?
“this election ‘will show what America is made of”
I certainly hope so.
Ping!
Well, there’s no doubt that our last election showed what we were made of!
Excuse me, but what dog does he have in this fight? Is he betting on the Canadian to win so he can get some extra US tax dollars and perks?
He was more diplomatic than the Pope, and countless little tyrants in the US!
“Beloved”? He’s been PM for less than 6 months, and he’s BELOVED? Bloviating, perhaps. OverBlown, definitely.
He’s already won some award for “all he’s done for women’s rights”. Good grief, he’s an inexperienced part time substitute drama teacher!
You guys thought it was bad having a community organizer as your President? Just watch the carnage up here when (DIRECT JT quote) “the deficit will necessarily look after itself” boy gets going.
This is the Trudeau whose father Pierre took him and his brothers to USSR to show them what the future would look like.
I suspect that is you being facetious. Canada is made up of hard working families exactly like the USA. The graft and corruption in the USA has become untenable forcing a political upheaval. Many good folks are awakening to the depth and entrenchment of fraud with the realization that if not corrected now, there won't be a later. Good luck with yours.
P.S. If you are a Canucks fan, we can't be friends until after the playoffs.
American men drop to their knees, literally beg Justin Trudeau to run for U.S. president

I do not envy Canadians their political position right now. At least we are at 308 days and counting till our poliyical nightmare is over, their’s seems to be just starting..
Is that a hockey player? I have never seen hockey being played. I watched them make a hockey stick on an episode of “How It’s Made.”
