RedState = NeverTrumpers.

I don't want to say bad things about Pavlich, but if Ben Sasse and Carly Fiorina are your ideal conservatives in this country, you can count me out.

Yes when people like quisling Ben Sasse ARE the enemy we ARE in bad shape. He and the NeverTrumps are selfish to the point of seeing America die rather than help us fight socialism.

“during the last of three intellectually packed days in Denver”

Count me out too ! Got a kick out of that. Katie Pavlich is one of the Salem Witches and she’s an #imwithher loon. Pretending they aren’t giving comfort and aide to the enemy doesn’t change the fact that they’re giving comfort and aide to the enemy. These people are not our friends. Three intellectual days? Try three days of economic gravy train preservation.

We’re here; we’re just being realistic. A conservative may get the nomination next time; possible Mike Pence.

The problem with these “intellectually packed days in Denver” by the intellectual conservatives is that they are just as elitists as the progressives.

THEY, the intellectuals, get to decide who is and who isn’t a conservative, what is and what is not conservatism.

It is The Club, THEIR CLUB. If you don’t get acknowledged in this exclusive CLUB, you might as well be the hicks in hill countries.

I’m disappointed in Katie as well.

Note how the (R) wing of the Uniparty has tried (with some success) to usurp the term “conservative”.

Katie, the problem with you staid “so-called” conservatives is that you want the narrative on your own terms to define and to control. You put puffed up conservative immutability and think everyone has to accept that tenet or die by your condemnation.

Not a damned one of you has any realistic idea of conservative principles juxtaposed against a society ready for Armageddon and some kind of tactic that may forestall that. Foolish sh!ts that you are you think you can just sit on your effing principles and let all hell come to pass and then miraculously, conservatism will eventually prevail.

What you’ll find if you keep it up is that one day you’ll be knelt beside and open ditch and some liberal do gooder will blow your brains out.

Republican “leadership” must be terrified by the army of Trump voters that are motivated, in part, by the desire to clean out the Augean stables of the republican “leadership”.

Depends on the meaning of the word “conservative.” If you really mean “no-borders globalist” then hopefully you are right.

"There aren't as many conservatives in the country as we thought there were"

There are plenty of conservatives...who got sick of being shafted by so called conservative politicians who were acting like Democrat surrogates.

"When people like [conservative Sen.] Ben Sasse are the 'enemy,' we're in a really bad spot," she added.

He is the enemy when he refuses to condemn his fellow representatives who are rolling over for Obama, but condemns the voters who are sick of it.

(later in the article)
The rise of Trump, whose statements on women and minorities have made him a laughingstock in many quarters, also undid eight years of outreach by Republican officials. Those groups are critical to the party's future success.
"Now, it's been completely wiped out," she (Katie Pavlich) said.
What I see is that those outreach efforts (i.e., clear pandering seen by many) alienated the white middle class more than what puny number of 'token' special group persons they attract.

Once you're on their plantation, you don't count anymore, only there to take orders from these 'leaders' and 'intellectuals'.

Personalities are not "conservative." Actions are, and saying "if you don't support "X" 100% then you're not conservative" is something Democrat trolls use on the internet, for instance: "Reagan did amnesty so if you don't want 10 times more amnesty than him you're not conservative."

Never bought that argument when liberals used it, not buying it now.

For instance, Donald Trump is incorrect on bathroom gender invasion policies, correct on defeating the Johnson Amendment. When has a GOPe "conservative" ever supported overturning the Johnson Amendment? But I've seen very few politicians that get every issue correct. Seems like that's just not going to happen. We have to vote for the best we can.

PS: I'm hoping a good Congress, Senate and Supreme Court can overturn Trump on bathroom gender invasion and he won't illegally make it happen.
