I’m just an old fart and have gone through a lot of disappointments. But I told myself if this guy is for real, then we may still have a chance, so I voted for President Trump. Now to me he seems just like all the rest! 1.3T “budget” my rosy red butt!

One thing to consider is that it is an Omnibus bill, not a budget. Obama spent it as he saw fit, so perhaps President Trump will end up doing the same. Don't be an old fart and go away disappointed

I'm not happy that he signed it either, however, there were considerations. That being the military. It would be wrong to make them pawns in this.

Also, remember that even with all of the obstruction & resistance he has faced, he has accomplished a lot.

Instead of coming down on President Trump, you need to be directing it at your Senators. Congress provided a budget, the Senate couldn't get off their arse, as usual.

Disappointment should be with the Republican leaders they showed themselves to be totally in the pocket of open border lobbyists. Ryan and McConnel are bad guys. But don’t discount the president’s funding of the military, which is vital.

Ah, therein lies the rub.

Trump is not an ideologue. He's not hard-core conservative and can seem outright liberal at times.

But forgive him. He's a businessman at heart and not a politician. That is a good thing. That is why we elected him. He's different.

If we think we elected a true conservative, think again. While Trump has done a tremendous amount of work undoing what Obama did during his 8 years, he has not ever said he was a true conservative.

He has done some things better than Ronald Reagan but why do conservatives insist on purity in their leaders? No one is like that. If they were, they probably wouldn't have been elected.

Trump is doing a great job. Give him credit.

Is Trump perfect? No. Is he exceptional? Yes, absolutely.

We should count our blessings and stop complaining we didn't get everything we wrote to Santa about that we wanted for Christmas.

With said budget and the increase in the military, we could easily put 50,000 troops on the border and in which case we don’t need a wall.
