I was born in 1954. So the list is missing:
That Television has not always been in color.
That discs that contained music actually had holes in their centers. To be played on stereos.
Autombiles did not always have air bags. Seat belts or baby seats!
Jack.

52, which makes me 52... Hey, me too. You do realize that we were born during the Truman administration. For the kids out there, that's Harry Truman, the guy in the powdered wig between Jefferson and Madison... ;-)

True! Nor in a restaurant after their nice trout meunière!

I was born in 68 to. I guess your memories of the 'Summer of Love" and the "Tet Offensive" are a bit shaky then.

I thought the Summer of Love was the summer that Jennifer Love Hewitt was the "it" girl, and I thought the Tet Offensive was when the boy who sat behind me in 7th grade would snap my training bra.

That discs that contained music actually had holes in their centers. To be played on stereos. Today's disks full of music don't have holes in the middle?

1951:
No:
Bicycle helmets, seatbelts, gun laws, lawyers suing everybody, pools without high dives, camps without all day horseback rides through forests, "play dates", insurance manias, mercy.

I'm a 1968 baby! Hooray! I was born when Johnson was in the White house, but Nixon was sworn in shortly after my 1st birthday.
As a precocious youngster in nyc in the mid to late 1970s, I was always intrigued by what was behind the tinted glass windows of the Playboy Club near FAO Schwatrz. Clearly, I think that the reality was much tamer than even my 8-year old mind could concoct.
I was a pretty 'hep' 8 year old, I suppose! :-)
