Brin's best known novel is "The Postman" which Kevin Costner managed to make into a mediocre movie. Brin also wrote a nice series called "Uplift" which has some intriguing themes in it.

That's who I got too. Is this test loaded, or does it just have a built-in Freeper detector?

Anybody so obviously fascinated by gender-switching, homosexuality, incest and other interesting sexual variations doesn't fit my definition.

Don't be to hasty in that conclusion. In his youth he associated with a group of people who shared an interest in such topics. Few people remember Aleister Crowley today, but Jack Whiteside Parsons was the founder of Jet Propulsion Labs.

I'm David Brin. Who the hell is David Brin?

Author of "The Postman", a decent novel but one of the worst movie adaptations of all time. For my money, his best work is "Heart of the Comet", a collaboration with Gregory Benford.

.... Presumably before he lost his mind, and became obsessed with breakfast and incest.

Allegedly I am someone whom I have never heard of (which, frankly, doesn't bode well for me succeeding at anything in a significant way).

Olaf Stapledon
Standing outside the science fiction "field", he wrote fictional explorations of the futures of whole species and galaxies.
