Indeed. I must confess to having doubts about Baldwin's former wife. I can't imagine how their poor daughter must feel, having this whole thing out there in the public domain.
It is off an answering machine, not taken from the airwaves, so, it was recorded WITH his knowlege, just leaked without his permission.
I heard it on Sean. It was pretty bad.
My thoughts on this: we don’t know the whole story, but what we do know is that Baldwin is a jerk from his public appearances and comments, apparently beat his ex and verbally abuses his child. I think we can safely assume his actions are quite common. I am troubled that as despicable as the phone message was, it has been made public mostly because of the potential embarrassment to the child, but also it doesn’t seem to be in Kim B. or the child’s best interests if AB’s career is destroyed. I have to wonder why Kim B. would do such a thing. To me, she’d have to have a really good reason to do so and not just to get back at him (considering Hollyweirdos, I could be very wrong). Perhaps she has had trouble dealing with the court in regard to AB’s behavior or perhaps even the daughter doesn’t want to have much to do with him, we just don’t know. I’m sure we’ll be learning more about this relationship over the next few days. One thing’s for sure: Alec Baldwin is a disgusting liberal and he should be so lucky if he can so much as get a hemorrhoid commercial in the future.
What's really ironic is that Baldwin portrays top-notch asshats in film, among Hollywood's best. His role as the sleazy Italian boyfriend against Melanie Griffith in "Working Girl," the murdering government defense bureaucrat in "Mercury Rising" (Bruce Willis), the abusive shitheel boyfriend in "Notting Hill" (*flinch* Julia Roberts) ...

We don’t know what’s gone on in the marriage. He has been accused of domestic violence in the past & was ordered to undergo a psychological evaluation last year.
I seem to remember she declared bankruptcy or was in danger of it some time back. Maybe she can’t afford the attorneys he can & she’s trying to find some leverage. At this point who knows? But one thing is clear. He was wrong (all by himself) to speak to that child in that manner. I would be surprised to hear it was the first time he did. His temper is well known.
Yes, I feel sorry for the child, as well. Although I don’t usually pay attention to anything to do with celebrities, I do know the name of the ex-wife. Couldn’t pick her out of a line-up, though. Seems like both of the parents are horrid, so I suspect that this is standard in the poor kid’s life. Sadly, she’ll probably grow up to act just as irresponsibly as her parents.
