Los Angeles (eCanadanow) - Entertainment website TMZ.com, has posted (with audio) an alleged voicemail from Alec Baldwin to his 11-year-old daughter Ireland.
allegedly, After Ireland did not answer a morning phone call from Bladwin on April 11, the enraged Golden Globe winner left a nasty message.
Highlights from the tirade include: Once again, I have made an ass of myself trying to get to a phone. You have insulted me for the last time. I dont give a damn that youre 12-years-old or 11-years-old, or a child, or that your mother is a thoughtless pain in the ass who doesnt care about what you do. This crap you pull on me with this goddamn phone situation that you would never dream of doing to your mother and you do it to me constantly over and over again.
Before hanging up Baldwin screamed, I am gonna get on a plane, and come out there for the day, and Im gonna straighten your ass out when I see you
Imgonnna really make sure you get it. So, you better be ready Friday the 20th to meet with me so I can let you know how I feel about what a rude little pig you really are.

I’m at work so I can’t hear it, but... she must have done something pretty bad to get him that mad... (everyone has said things they regret when they’re angry)... or else he really is nuts and a restraining order is justified.
Re my #59. Alleged voicemail. I went back and read it again. Maybe.
Wasn’t he the one that wanted to “stone Henry Hyde” (and family) to death on national TV?
Yes they can, however if you one can't control one's self while talking to an answering machine then maybe one should seek the professional help of an anger management specialist.
And if Alec talked to a 12 year old kid in front of me like that I would make him wish he hadn't (not with physical violence but by giving him some of his own medicine) and I bet I could unhinge him real damn fast.
what more did he say that’s not in the transcript?
If you commit a crime over the phone, or the person receiving the message feels threatened, AND the call was not intentionally recorded except on an answering machine, then there is no law broken.
Baldwin really stepped in it.
Apparently Basinger has been swinging the kid as a weapon against Baldwin. This is fairly typical behavior in divorces. It isn't always easy to know which parent is the problem. Sometimes they both are. Though usually the man is blamed.
Hey, he knew the message was recorded. He left a recorded message on her phone. He was stupid.
Thank GOD that my mother and father were conservatives and I did not have to put up with a slime ball puke ass hole like Baldwin. I hate that pig. I hated him for a long long time. He is a pure pig.
Meanwhile, Baldwin has opted to shut up now.
“In the best interest of the child, Alec will do what the mother is pathologically incapable of doing keeping his mouth shut and obeying the court order,” a spokesperson for Baldwin said in a statement, referring to Nelson’s order to keep the details of the very estranged couple’s custody battle under wraps.
“The mother and her lawyer leaked this sealed material in violation of a court order,” the statement continued. “Although Alec acknowledges that he should have used different language in parenting his child, everyone who knows him privately knows what he has been put through for the past six years.”
“The voice mail speaks for itself,” said Basinger’s spokeswoman, declining to speculate on how the recording made its way online.
Lawyers for the actors did not immediately comment.

Politics Baldwin, a liberal Democrat, has always had an active interest in politics and is frequently rumored to be a candidate for public office. He recently revealed in a British magazine interview that he plans to leave acting in a few years to pursue a career in politics. He has recently called Vice President Dick Cheney a terrorist, and claimed that "he terrorizes our enemies abroad and innocent citizens here at home indiscriminately.".[5] He later recanted this statement, saying that Cheney was not a terrorist but rather "a lying, thieving oil whore and a murderer of the U.S. Constitution".[6] Baldwin has continued to level strong criticisms at the Bush Administration on his blog labeling Bush a "trust fund puppet" and Cheney a "constitution hating sociopath" and a "hate-filled maniac".[7] Baldwin talked about the harm he believes Bush did to democracy by comparing the presidential election of 2000 to the September 11, 2001 attacks: "I know that's a harsh thing to say, perhaps, but I believe that what happened in 2000 did as much damage to the pillars of democracy as terrorists did to the pillars of commerce in New York City." [6] Baldwin and commentator Bill O'Reilly have been in a number of conflicts. Despite their political differences, however, Baldwin stated on his blog after an interview with O'Reilly, that he "was aggressive, but was a gentleman throughout", and also called O'Reilly a "talented broadcaster."[8] Baldwin, however, also referred to O'Reilly's employer, Fox News Channel, in the same blog post as "Roger Ailes' Luftwaffe/Looney Bin news operation."
On March 26, 2006, Baldwin guest-hosted Brian Whitman's talk show on WABC radio in New York. During the show, conservative talk show hosts Sean Hannity and Mark Levin called the show and were heard on air. Both Hannity and Levin confronted Baldwin about his previous comments about Vice-President Cheney and Rep. Hyde. During the conversation, Hannity accused Baldwin of not appearing on his show as agreed, and Baldwin replied that he would never do Hannity's show. After Hannity accused him of attacking the president in a time of war, Baldwin attempted to move on to the next caller. Hannity interrupted, saying "you don't tell the truth." Baldwin responded by calling Hannity "a no-talent whore." The conversation turned into a series of verbal taunts among Hannity, Levin and Baldwin. According to the actor, Whitman made no attempt to assist Baldwin or curtail the call, so Baldwin walked out of the studio. On March 28, according to Baldwin, WABC President and General Manager Tim McCarthy telephoned him to "apologize for Sean's attacks."[9] [10]
When asked in an interview with the New York Times what his ideal office would be to run for Baldwin replied: "If I ever ran for anything, the thing I would like to be is governor of New York... That's what I hate about Arnold Schwarzenegger. His only credentials are that he ran a fitness program under some bygone president...I'm Tocqueville compared to Schwarzenegger." When asked why not be governor of California, Baldwin replied: "Then I would have to live in California. And who wants to live in California?"[7][8]
Baldwin serves on the board of People for the American Way.
I guess those abuse rumors may have some merit to them.
Are you one of those people who calls authorities when a child is getting a spanking on the be-hind for disobeying a parent in public?
Team America....
...more propaganda from worn out, busybody, old chicks about libertine celebrities for the purpose of destroying fatherhood and family.
Mao wrote about destroying the authority of fathers for the purpose of destroying monogamy and herding all of the women into full time work. It’s the quickest way to hard socialism.
If that’s the case, then yes, I agree it’s a very inappropriate phone call. However, I think there’s more to the story than that. I’m imagining they got in a heated discussion/argument which embarrassed him to have to deal with - and then she may have hung up on him, when he called back and left that message. That’s the only way I can imagine him leaving that kind of message - unless he really is looney.
Criticisms He was criticized by Jack Valenti, Rush Limbaugh, and Brit Hume for his appearance on Late Night with Conan O'Brien on December 11, 1998, eight days before President Bill Clinton was to be impeached. In an outburst that Baldwin later referred to as a "parody", he said that "if we were in another country... we would stone Henry Hyde to death and we would go to their homes and kill their wives and their children. We would kill their families".[2] Baldwin later apologized to Hyde for his remarks and NBC has promised never to re-air the show.[3] (A video of the outburst can be seen here [1])
