I'm Feeling GREAT Over the Primary Election Results!!!
Self | January 20, 2008 | PJ-Comix

Posted on 01/20/2008 6:03:26 AM PST by PJ-Comix

I'm getting something of a chuckle out of reading all the Chicken Little "WOE IS US" posts over the primary election results from yesterday. Why? Simple. Because the one viable conservative candidate with the best chance of winning in the General Election is in a better position than ever.

In case you haven't noticed, Mitt Romney now has more delegates than all the other candidates put together. McCain's win in South Carolina has hurt Mike Huckabee bigtime. However, McCain will be much easier to defeat in the primaries in the long run than the Huckster which is good news.

And to all you Fred Thompson supporters. Now is the time to face reality and support the remaining viable conservative candidate---Mitt Romney. Romney is now in the best positition to harvest a big delegate count on Super Tuesday because of his superior organization and finances. Ultimately, McCain will lose out to Mitt.

With Hillary as the Democrat nominee running against Mitt in the General Election, Mitt wins. Why? Because I GUARANTEE one or more third party candidates (think Bloomy and Ralph and even Dennis) running because of leftwing disgust with Hillary. And guess who that draws votes from.

But don't take my word for this. I am sure Rush will put things into proper perspective on his show tomorrow.

That would be a huge mistake on Rush’s part. One his ego will pay a price for.

Are you saying our nation or conservatism would be better off with a Democrat administration in office over the CRUCIAL last eight years?

No, I'm saying it would have been better off with a conservative in power. The problem is today the rino will be unelectable. There has to be a fight, if moderates in the party chose to fight in the general election, then they will lose the election, because I and millions of Americans will not give some namby-pamby do-nothing moderate power!

There has to be a fight, and I've been screaming it should be in this primary season, but it appears as if the moderates have a stronghold. Conservatives have no one to blame but themselves by losing what power they gained since 1994. Either conservatives fight, or we all lose this party.

Thanks for the link. So Romney has 72 delegates, and 1,191 are needed for the nomination. Looks like there’s a way to go yet. Always a good thing to keep in mond, as the media types get more frenzied.

"Rush Limbaugh has NO problem with Mitt. Why should you? Listen to Rush tomorrow."

I stopped listening to Limbaugh in '92. It doesn't surprise me that Rush would support a Rockefeller Republican.

Having the rabid left in charge for even the next 8 years will make this country unrecognizable if we even remain as a soveriegn nation...

Do you really recognize this "nation" currently since these moderates have been in power? What you and others may fail to understand is not that I'm coming at this from a Holier-Than Thou attitude about my decision. It's very simple, if conservatism dies, we all are screwed! You have to look at what happen in history since 1994. The Conservative Repubs gained power and have since lost it because they gave up their conservative values. Electing moderates does not win conservatism back, it will only serve to establish more moderate/liberal policies...is that what you want?

The Republican Party has a choice, either support a winning conservative ticket or lose by propping up a loser rino/moderate. DOLE!!!!!

Ask yourself this question: When has a moderate ever done anything to further advance conservatism?

My theory as well as millions of others in this country, in this day and age, at this time in history, is we will not elect another moderate republican to be President. We've had one for 8 years, we don't want another one. America at this this time needs leadership and people are not going to get it from moderation, but they might feel a change of party might have to take place to take us in a NEW direction. ie...'06. Whose gonna do that, either a strong conservative or a liberal prick! A moderate is useless! The idea of "any repub is better than any dem" is old, stupid, insane hat, and will not fly anymore, because we've had both and realize what it really means...absolutely nothing!!

Again, NO MORE RINO's!

Your welcome; I found this map posted here the other day that convinced me.

Romney has no real competition in the sagebrush region, and a distinct lead in the Farm belt region.

“Wasn’t that the goal of the MSM all along? To drive out anyone with a real chance of victory in November?”

Yes, that was the goal of the MSM, including, apparently, many if not most individuals associated with Fox News.

But their victory, if ever realized politically, will never be realized truly.

The agenda of the left, the fascists and the MSM can only (if there are any media types fortunate enough to be reading FR, pay close attention to this) be advanced through deception. Deception demonstrates ultimate weakness, intellectually as well as spiritually. Meaning you lose, Mr. Matthews. You lose, Mr. Scarborough. You lose, Mr. Wallace. You lose, Mr. Krauthammer. You lose, Mr. Keller. This goes for all self-serving media types. I hope you will come to understand this and to seek truth—the opportunity to do so has been given to us all.

Hilarious? About as funny as Democrat-liberal-socialist Arnold S that the fool GOP agit-props & their lackeys gave us. Too many people think its all fun and games all the time. And the Dhimmicrats know this.

Hey I guess your right, Hillary will do after all if we don't have a "true conservative" running. I guess we'll learn to enjoy our socialized medicine, mandetory state run child care from age 2 on, ceding our national security to the UN, have government control our thermostats from the central office, the church of global warming recognized as the offcial state religion, federally funded abortion on demand, two or three of Ruth Bader Ginsburg's idelogical counterparts as supreme court justices, marriage of the same sex or between man and beast if that's what floats their boat, mandated sick leave for as long as a person feels they need it, paid for of course by the business owner, taxes, welfare and a stripped down, neutured military, etc....

Yeah man, I finally get what you and millions of others see, NO MORE RINOS only COMMITED SOCIALISTS WILL DO!!

...and once again you moderates don't get it. How many years have we had this same insane discussion and nothing has changed? It's the same tired ole argument, sticking to the status quo instead of trying to fight and change things for conservatism. Well, I guess it's going to change for better or worse this time around because that idiotic argument of any repub is better than any dem doesn't fly any more! You people better understand something quick, if a moderate is nominated, the dems are going to win!

Do you define conservative as someone who only two years ago professed that he was pro-choice? Who only a month or so ago on a Sunday show said he was STILL for the "assault weapons ban"? Who raised 'fees' and coddled illegals in Massachusetts?

Who raised his hand for man-made global warming (then put it down and clapped for Fred)? Who pandered to Michigan with promises of billions in taxpayers' money?

How many actual conservatives by the accepted definition can you name who have been elected to a major office in the last fifty years in Massachusetts?

Mitt did not connect in South Carolina despite a great team and lots of time and money. Neither will he connect well with voters who respect Reagan's coalition in other states. It ain't over 'til it's over.

Not going to happen!

Mitt with his 50% negatives is not going to win the general. He might as well drop out and endorse an electable consistent conservative like Fred and become his VP.

Then he could prove all of his recent flip-flops are not flip-flops and be the next in line for POTUS.

Vote for your first choice, not the perceived winner. That ‘sure’ winner has changed several times since last summer. Some political types (not just ordinary folks like Freepers) are now saying there could be a brokered convention. Your candidate could have leverage there.

First I'm by no means a moderate. I'm quite sure I'm every bit as conservative as you. I appreciate your call to fight and urge to have a real conservative to vote for. Unfortunately we have what we have. All the fighting, hollering and protesting isn't going to change who the candidates are in this election cycle they've already been established. Your fight is just and I hope you continue it as will I but '08 is here already and the fight for a pure conservative torch bearer is for 2010 and 2012.

We either elect a Republican and hope that he vigorously persues the WOT, keeps taxes and spending in check does no harm or we get what I referenced in my previous post. Given a choice between slow erosion or complete subjucation to socialism I will still rather have the slow erosion. At least that alllows us to survive and fight for another conservative that will come along. If we sit home and allow Hillary to take the reigns will will never, I repeat never see conservatism rise again. Once state run healthcare and the many other programs she will bring are here, they are never going away. Hell all of FDR's quick fixes are still with us and that was before we were a nation with 20-40 million illegals that had their hands in the cookie jar!
