Speaking of Orion, if you look at his left foot (as you are looking at him it is the foot on the right side), you see an interesting star named Rigel. It is a blue supergiant. At a 'mere' 775 light years away, it is about twice as hot as our Sun and dwarfs the Sun with a luminosity of 40,000 solar (40,000 times as luminous as the Sun). Just one neighboring star in our vicinity of the Milky Way galaxy.

Orion is a long-time friend but I didn’t know that about Rigel. I’ll check next time I look up there. Very interesting!

That, plus the exactly precise and eternal movement of all the heavenly bodies, keeps me continually in awe, praise and thanksgiving. If our mortal minds planned something that grand, there’d be heavy bodies crashing everywhere. One oops! after another....lol

I enjoy star gazing, too. But last night’s enjoyment was about half-an-hour. Then, the mosquitoes figured out where I was. In I went.

Mosquitoes in the states are a nuisance. Here, they are dangerous.

That is an awesome thought. Truly awe-inspiring.

OK, I have that same reaction and thought. Then, if you look at the structure of the human body and compare that with setting forth all the planets and space in their time and motion. IT WAS THE SAME CREATOR.

Think about that for just a moment, the same creator who mapped out the paths of the heavenly bodies and put them in motion in just the right paths at just the right speeds is the same Creator who mapped out the highways of our veins and arteries and put the paths of our lymph system in place. He fashioned and attached the sinews and muscles. What other business has such a diverse product line? A business might have a diversity of the same product in its inventory, for example a computer company might have a variety of parts. But God's product line is vast. He alone is the ultimate creator. All our inventions and creations are built on stuff already here. He created the stuff!

I'll get off my soapbox now. As I said, the stars are awesome.

It was big fun, and I’m not sure how many showed up, but 200 were anticipated. I’d say it was definately 200.

SO MUCH FUN...we had a captive audience as the lanes divided on Harbor drive, lots of folks coming in from the airport. - cars, taxis, shuttles, buses. Great signs, a guy blasting music (political lyrics) blasting out Schumer re “chattering class.”

Thanks to Nordp, the media showed up. She and hubby called them yesterday, so the TV stations showed.

Bullhorns abounded, cops were there to keep peace (not needed), and I’d have to say 99% of everyone we encountered gave a thumbs up and a smile, and a honk. LONG honks.

Some guy shouted “go to work” and I had to laugh as I took time off to be there.

I met Socalpol and Nordp/hubby.

The pleasure was all mine.
