FreeRepublic censorship?

I am a bit bothered by this repeated encounter with censorship on your site. This is the second time that I have encountered censorship on your site. The first time was when I was removed from being allowed to post for expressing that FOX News does not represent true conservatism, and it doesn’t.

John Robinson sent me one kind email saying that the reason was that they typically get trolls and identify them for attacking FOX News. The second email that came from John immediately after was that he wished me the best of luck if I tried to expose the censorship on FreeRepublic against conservatives that apparently exists if you do not bow to the current politicians in power and owe your loyalty to the now less than conservative Republican party. That was rather rude, but I did not pay it much mind.

Today I was surfing and came across a site I do not agree with on all levels, but tried to make a post about some revealing facts that presented on their site about the perversity of Disney.

What was the result of my trying to make this post?

I got a message saying the source was not welcome on FreeRepublic.

As a conservative who would put any average Republican to shame with my traditional values and economic view that makes Reagan look like a two-bit haircut in a black and white movie, I would love to hear why this one is censored. And, as I told John, I can easily take these issues straight to conservatives who do not feel that Club GOP represents conservatism on the Internet with my web development skills.

Here is what I tried to post

I also just noticed that your site has made it impossible to highlight text in fields for posting in trying to copy and paste this link. On the one hand, I do believe in driving out stupidity from the Internet. On the other hand, I believe that only liberal leftist propaganda need be removed. I am beginning to wonder what makes FreeRepublic think that one conservative is acceptable rather than another. I think that conservatives like me would be interested to know the limitations you have obviously coded into publication on your site.

As I said, I do not agree with everything I read on the site I tried to link, but they did a very good job of exposing Disney on the link above.

Think about it.

There’s another one.
Pretty much every post by the thread originator is a lie.

It's amazing that he used “I” more times than Barrack Obama at a self esteem seminar...

I know a person that’s closely associated with KMFDM and what she personally told me about the band was that the band leaders are all confused conservatives in denial. Deep down inside, their beliefs would probably fall more in line with the rest of the board (Sans a few EEE and GGG conspiracy posts and a few bitter Stormfronters) and less in line with yours.

But seeing that you’re probably banned already, I’m just pissing into the wind.

Your opus? The judges give it a 1.3. I guess they’re feeling charitable, what with the Olympics and all...

Sorry you didn’t like FR. It’s not for everyone, I suppose.

Privately owned sites can censor as they wish.

Don’t like it, start & maintain your own site. then, you can say just what you want & can be free to censor what you wish.

(Why is this concept so hard for some people to grasp!!)

Did they do good by Rover?

That stinks.
Rover was what made some of the episodes in the original so memorable.

I think it’s good that you finally decided to ask questions instead of just trying to do everything your way.
Jim might consider that an improvement.

FOX is worse than watered down. Both left & right are played against the middle creating confusion to the unenlightened viewer. Far worse than anything previous, ROX now is owned in a significant part by Saudis. Now, ISLAM CANNOT BE SHOWN IN ANY NEGATIVE WAY. Think about that.

Well, I am not one to feel ashamed to admit when I am wrong, and I have thought about it. I flew off the handle, and I was wrong. This is Jim’s site, and he has every right to handle it the way he sees fit. I don’t appreciate the snotty replies I received among the more civil ones, but I also realize it is in people’s nature to say things they wouldn’t otherwise say to someone in person.

I would like to further state that if more people were willing to admit when they are wrong it would be a good thing for us all. In my life, I have had to admit when I am wrong many times, and that is a good thing for me and everyone else, especially since I can be a real pain when I am wrong. LOL! I hope you all don’t hold it against me. I promise not to hold any posts that offended me against you, if you can simply forgive me for being wrong.
