That picture looks like an updated photo for “Mod Squad”
Pop music is crap.
Very poor season. Rumor has it this is the last one. Notice of cancellation already appeared on MSN website.
Only maybe 3 people with any potential. Starting to vote for the worst one just for fun.
It looks like the show it was supposed to be, picking a nobody out of a crowd of millions and making them a star. I refuse to believe that out of all of the people who tried out for this this bunch was the best they could come up with.
It’s become unwatchable. Ellen was the “jump the shark” moment.
The hilarity continues! Thanks for the ping. :)
Ellen is so annoying that I have to mute her when she talks.
If I ever get a laptop, maybe I could be a 10,000th post winner. *Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh* *pout* *pout* (Was that pathetic enough? ;^) )
I see you are getting an early start on the thread! Have a great Tuesday, Jonny! Hopefully, I’ll see y’all later! :^)
I do the same, if I watch it at all. Dreadful attempts at “comedy” are just annoying.
I agree with you. The show was over for me when Ellen was hired. She acts & look very dumb. Only comments on their smile,clothes- I could do her job.
I think Ellen was a bad choice .
This year the singers are not good- what a pick!
I wish Simon and Kara would just stop the touchy feely stuff and just strip down go at it right there on the table.
Jeeez... its like they all take a hit of ecstasy before the show.
I love when we get a new thread. It’s like we are so catty and creative we have to spill over.
I think some of the kids may be able to pull off a Lennon/McCartney song fairly decently, but others shouldn't even try.
The show lost all credibility last week.
I hate the Lennon/McCartney tributes.
Buncha damn hippies talking about purple unicorns and rainbows.
Who wants in on a bet? $10 says that little feller does “imagine” like that other little feller did last year.
I am forced to watch AI by my family.
Well, I mean nobody forces me to do anything but I promised them I would watch it so I force myself.
You see, I spend most evenings in my shop working on my secondary income so I promised that on the nights that AI is on, we as a family would have family TV night.
I know, it makes me want to vomit too... but the kids like the show and I guess we need SOME time together.
They don’t know that while I appear to be interested, I am really thinking of valve clearances and timing marks the entire time.
My husband loves this show. I am bored by it.
It makes him happy if I pretend to be interested so I sit, watch and pretend to like it.
I do like looking at Casey though. :)
Casey has my vote.
If my husband wouldn’t mind, I’d also give him my phone number and address.
I’m a dirty ol’ girl ! My kids are older than he is !
Mine are too!
That’s the same thing I told my kids. Actually, we hardly watch the show all the way through anymore. I fast forward the DVR to the performances we want to watch. Last week was terrible. The dancing/lyrics from Usher were definitely NOT family-friendly. Thank goodness we missed the performance.
I never miss the AI thread, but the show is a different story!
Next Tuesday we're finally down to 88 minutes (because a special Glee will be on for 32 minutes)
This post is to strategically position me for the next 10,000th post prize..
I tried that. I sadly ended up as #10,001. :-(
Hey Jonny! I always look forward to Tuesday night! See ya later!
Joe Cocker-style, that is.
Yay, jonny! Thanks for the brand new thread!
Can’t wait to find out what retro’s prize is for 10,000th post.
What is tonight’s theme?
Oh man, too rich for my blood.
Of course, it doesn't really matter anymore. My wife will make sure I do my obligatory 10 votes or so for Katie Stevens (Katie's a student at the high school my wife teaches at). Katie will end up in the bottom three again and, if not sent home this week, it'll be next week.
I personally do not care who wins the thing. I've never watched more than ten minutes of all the previous years combined up until this season.
Katie is cute and has a great voice. I’ve voted for her a few times. Katie and Aaron—two great kids with good values who deserve to finish near the top.
Rather them than Crystal...something about that girl puts me off.
I heard on the radio this morning that the original little feller (Archuleta) will be back on Results Night to sing "Imagine," so that means none of the contestants will be able to do it tonight.
Thanks for that heads up....Now I know when to mute the TV on results night ;-) LOL
LOL! Not a “Monchichi” fan, eh?
No chatting tonight for awhile - my puter is in the shop AGAIN. I’ll miss you all!
Couldn’t stand the little twerp OR his “wannabe stage mother”, father, (who resembled a two bit thug, as I recall.}
We make us laugh. :-D
We will miss you! I’ve had to miss the last 2 weeks because real-life got in the way, so I totally understand.
Oh you mean the father who was later arrested at a, ahem, illegal massage parlor?
Yeah, he always seemed shady to me, too.
He actually stuck me as the kind of father who would look at Monchichi and say “Look, you perform and do it RIGHT, or you KNOW what is gonna happen!” (I think the dad looked the “type” of a wife/child batterer....thats my story, and Im stickin to it! ;-)
(Always a delight to see you And Jonny Too! BTW....was that pic beneath the “OHGAWD!Squad”, the picture of a Mastiff or Charlie Rangel sans glasses? (I always confuse the two)
See above post to Retro....(I forgot to add your mae in the “To” box ;-)
Because everyone deserves a shot at 10K! :)
Looking forward to tonight!
