Just for fun. What's everyone drinking and eating tonight. I only do this "Vanity" every few months.

Gross! My mom made mayonnaise sandwiches when I was a kid. I still hate mayonnaise!

It’s freakishly easy. Get the Aunt Jemima Cornmeal, use the “corn meal mush” recipe only keep stirring instead of putting the lid on the pot at the end. You can substitute half the water with milk for a creamier consistency. I always put in a small pat of butter and some parmesan cheese.

Half a homegrown canteloupe for now.

Then off to the big tank and grillin’ the first big crappie I catch in a mustard sauce with grilled homegrown maters and squash for some fish tacos ( when it cools off, 102F here)

Diet Coke and mac and cheese. I make a calorie laden version that’s to die for. Hence the diet coke.

Nothing special. Vodka and lemonade, which is refreshing in the hot weather. Mojito infused chicken breast, black beans and brown rice.

Malone's Killer Margaritas:
You'll need an empty 1.75L bottle.
Pour in a 1L bottle of Sauza premium margarita mix
Add enough Patron Anejo Tequila until you're about 1/2 " below the neck of the bottle.
Fill the remainder with Patron Citronge Orange Liqueur.
Shake well, pour over ice into a salt rimmed glass.
Don't plan on going anywhere afterwards, especially if you have more than one. Enjoy!

A stiff Whiskey Sour, my husband makes the best for me but prefers beer with his pizza, and three slices of a 12 inch pizza. A Friday evening carb splurge after a week of fairly diligent diet monitoring , twice weekly exercise, and a lot of outdoor summer chores, gardening, mowing, current projects, etc. Topped off by a movie from netflex the name of which escapes me at the moment. Monday it starts all over again. Sat and Sun are free days and generally unstructured with a range of just potting around at home or short trips here and there. Of course keeping tabs on both political parties and conservative web sites is an everyday affair. Happy summer to all.
