Canary Islands Accumulated Earthquake Energy Increasing Parabolically

This chart shows the accumulated earthquake energy since about early August around El Hierro in the Canary Islands. This is the volcano group that can generate a 150 foot tall tsunami on the east coast under certain circumstances. Heads up!

There has been a study that indicates the entire side of that mountain could slide into the Atlantic. The amount of earth and the resulting displacement could cause a major tsunami along the East coast of the US, especially major metropolitan areas like NYC, seeing as it sits at the mouth of the Hudson, which is, if I remember correctly, another active fault line.

Thanks. I have friends in Wilmington, NC who are on the water. Just worried, that’s all.

Just seems that if something bad can happen, it is going to. Hope for the best and expect the worst.

Sorry about the confusion, the original comments that led me to the primary sources appeared halfway down the comments in that unrelated article. I should have just directed it to the primary source in both instances.

"What does this mean? An earthquake seems to be building which could lead to a 150 ft. tsunami?"

If I remember correctly, the island has a fault running along its length. There is a possibility that a seismic disturbance could cause that fault line to let go, dropping half the island into the ocean and generating a large tsunami.

Gee, won’t the island flip over and turn upside down..........................?

Only if a bunch of US soldiers go over there a jump on one end of the island at the same time. The chances of that happening are small, so don’t worry. ;)

That does offer a reasonable explanation of the Bermuda Triangle mystery, which has been puzzling reputable scientists since ancient Greece, if I recall correctly. (I wasn’t there at the time.)

That's ok, he also printed a graph of the fed's balance sheet. You can see it go up starting in 2008. Gosh there's been a lot of money printing recently.

IF he is 60 miles from the coast; he’ll have plenty of warning...this has been predicted for ever so long and it is just a prediction and we both know how predications go. In other words, it doesn’t seem likely.
