Canary Islands Accumulated Earthquake Energy Increasing Parabolically
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/doug-casey-how-prepare-when-money-dies ^

This chart shows the accumulated earthquake energy since about early August around El Hierro in the Canary Islands. This is the volcano group that can generate a 150 foot tall tsunami on the east coast under certain circumstances. Heads up!

“Gee, won’t the island flip over and turn upside down..........................?”

That’s only a risk if all the people rush to one side to avoid the wave.......

If I remember correctly, the island has a fault running along its length..

Wrong Canary Island. That island is La Palma. This is Hierro.

There is a possibility that a seismic disturbance could cause that fault line to let go, dropping half the island into the ocean and generating a large tsunami.

The tsunami science generalhy believes the threat of a massive tsunami on the East Coast of the US from La Palma is BS.

The promotor of the La Palma landslide/giant East Coast tsunami idea is a handful of scientists, lead by one, Simon Day, who I think has let all his appearances on crappy cable science disaster documentaries go to his head.

Unfortunately said crappy documentaries do not give a balanced view, because they're all about neat-o computer animations of a 150 foot wave sweeping over the Statue of Liberty.

Lesson is: don't get your science education from cable TV.

Is it possible that the wave could sweep away any of Al Gore many homes?

Does this mean I shouldn’t build a tall wall along the east side of my property in Arizona?

Great post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks a lot. The slope of the plotted data has achieved a parabolic shape which should result in rupture soon, assuming a continuation of the plotted force. ( My Canary is not what it used to be ).

Keep us updated!

I think it would have to get past the super high barrier wall of his hollow but gargantuan

outrageously smug and arrogant ego,

first.

An earthquake seems to be building which could lead to a 150 ft. tsunami?

I was watching a TV show that reported the volcanic mountain already has a split in it. If there was a large enough earthquake, a portion of the mountain would fall into the ocean causing the 150 ft. tsunami.

"Wrong Canary Island. That island is La Palma. This is Hierro."

Because, of course, a violent volcanic eruption on one island could never adversely affect the geology of a nearby island.

Actually it will not make a tsunami, but a standing wave. A tsunami is caused by an uplift/downfall or side wise movement of the earth's surface. A standing wave is cause by the displacement of a volume of sea water.

Tsunamis are like ripples, standing waves are like moving mountains and only break on hitting something higher than they are. In this case the Allegheny mountains

This topic was used for a CSI Miami story. They postulated a great undersea landslide in that area sending a 30 foot tsunami wave into Miami. Quite exciting.
