Oh yeah, we should all be falling in line behind those “experienced” career politicians who have done SO much to screw us and the Constitution. Our country has absolutely flourished under their benevolent guidance. </s>
Enough of the hand-picked candidates who are bought and paid for; enough of buying the nominations and enough of assuming that anyone who is not a career politician is incapable of fixing this mess. Nobody is going to be the perfect all-knowing candidate. It is who you surround yourself with. Keep in mind that the president is not supposed to be the hands-on mr fixit; he is the Chief Executive and Mr. Cain has held that position successfully in several large companies. He is emminently qualified. Even my 10 year old grandson could do a better job than any of these career jackasses.
There is yet to be any actual evidence against Cain, if they show some, then we can stop talking about innuendo and smears as fact, like they want us to.
I love Herman Cain and wish he would do well in the primaries. But if he loses the nomination, I would hope it would be because of his stand on policies, or his lack of knowledge on certain issues. But to lose the nomination because of dirty tricks by Obama or whoever just angers me no end. I hate to see someone get away with this.

I think Mark Steyn is a sex addict. He never misses an opportunity to talk about sexual topics, and he does it in a sort of dirty way. I don’t think I would want to be left alone in a room with him.
So where are all your posts promoting a good conservative candidate? All I’ve see are posts mocking and demeaning Cain. They are sickening. Where’s the counter balance? Show me an *equal number*[at least, if not far more] of posts where you rallied support for the good conservative GOP candidate of your choice.

So, you think clinton was an excellent President? I tell you what, he was an excellent politician! He wasn’t a Pope and he gave us a new rally cry, “Character doesn’t matter”! We had a great economy when he was in office and he left us a surplus.
Listen, I don’t care what letter is behind the name, I do not want a cheating, lying, selfserving, person as President. Character DOES matter, and this site has always been a leader in saying so! We fight for values, morality and Christianity—the building blocks of a good society. I expect my Christian brothers to walk the walk, not just talk it up and use their faith to gain votes.
And I do not accept the premise that there is no politician who isn’t that way. There are plenty. We just have to use our brains, trust our eyes and ears, and pay attention. Not just glom on to a candidate and stick to them no matter what they do! Have some standards

Well, Newt’s hands aren’t clean in this, but the difference, I guess, is that Newt is so knowledgeable on the issues, whether you agree with his stand or not. But it would be hypocritical to give Newt a pass on his past, but say it is a disqualifier for Herman Cain. Like I’ve said before, let Herman Cain be disqualified because of his policy stands or lack of knowledge on the issues, but not because of dirty tricks by an opponent.
I don’t hide the fact that I am ardently anti-Cain. That doesn’t make me anti-Conservative, unless you are of the (mistaken) belief that Cain is the embodiment of conservatism, the next coming of Ronald Reagan, and so on. I spent much time criticizing the 9-9-9 plan. I may have been one of the first here to note that the plan increased payroll taxes on businesses since payroll was no longer a tax deduction outside of those empowerment zones, which would impact any business operating at a loss and any business with little or no profit at the end of the year. So would that count as a vile smear or not, the standard seems to change.

What you said, every word of it. I personally know a small horde of FR Cain critics. They can get down and dirty in a hurry, and no, I don’t like it. However, there is one thing they’ve got in common: they are all ardent supporters of either Newt or Perry.
Now when you get a poster whose sole mission seems to be advancing the liberal smear, then there is only one conclusion, and you drew it.
If this slime-meister can point me to scores of posts where he enthusiastically advocated for his conservative candidate of choice, then I will stand corrected.

I would be happy to have the option to vote for the lesser of two evils again. The past several election cycles we've not had even that much choice. It's been far more like voting for the evil of two lessers....
