Survivor: One World is the 24th season of Survivor. It begins Wednesday, February 15, 2012 on CBS at 8/7c.
'Survivor: One World': New cast and new twists revealed!
There will be no returning players this season.
As with last season, this season will take place in Upolu, Samoa. Along with Survivor 19 (Samoa) and Survivor 20 (Heroes vs. Villains), this is the fourth season to take place at this location.
Both tribes will begin the season by living at the same camp site.
The tribes will be divided between men (Manono) and women (Salani).
Each tribe will have a Hidden Immunity Idol for them at camp, but the holder of the Idol can not use it for themselves or for their tribemates. Instead, the idol can only be given to a member of the opposing tribe to use.
Leif is the first little person contestant.
Monica is the wife of a former NFL football player.

Salani Tribe: Alicia, Chelsea, Christina, Kat, Kim, Kourtney, Monica, Nina, Sabrina

You mean the extra member of the girl’s tribe, Colton? LOL, you missed the best episode yet. Karma bit him in the appendix so he was carried away on a stretcher. He took his idol with him. After that, there’s not been much to get excited about. Last week, they booted Jonas for absolutely no reason.
Ok, so if the girls are going to form an all girls alliance, they better start vote out Jay next week or they can kiss that idea goodbye. Then Troyzan, Leif and then start kicking out excess baggage Alicia and Kat and then send Dr. Speedo home. But they won’t. They’re still too focused on getting rid of Christina.
Ugh, I’d have passed on the one sip of 7-up after it’d been backwashed by half a dozen people. And why is it that every season they sit down to eat with filthy hands? Ok, fine, it’s not exactly the Hilton out there and one or two are tending the fire but come on, people, there’s an ocean of water to get the first layer of grunge off. Like they can’t use a sea shell, coconut shell or a stick to clean out their nails?

I think Kim and her posse will chop one more guy - and to night should be Jay.

It has only taken 24 seasons, but the women seems to have figured out this game and have FINALLY made a move for an all women alliance.
The only chance the guys have is to convince Christina that the best she can hope for is sixth place with the women, but if she switches over to the guys and forces a tie then she might do much better. Maybe even a final three.
It’s two weeks in a row that Jay was shown the plan - and failed to see it.
And then ran to tell Kim - and save her - and get himself voted off.
This seasons crop of guys is like the blind leading the blind - except a blind person could see more than Troyzan, Tarzan and Lief.
I would have added Jay - but heeeee’s ooouuutttaaa heerreeee.

Would have been interesting had Troyzan not told Jay he was going to play the idol. The girls would have been vulnerable and caught off guard. Guys could have picked one off.
I hate when it comes down to Men vs. Women. It’s too easy and intellectually lazy. However, given that they started off that way it makes more sense this time.
That would have required common sense which the guys have a total of 0. When did Tarzan flip to the girls? It's going to take a miracle for Troy to remain in the game. I'm going to go out on a limb here and claim that a woman wins Survivor this season. Maybe it will be Kim and maybe it won't.

I'd be fine with either Kim or Sabrina winning it.
As much as Colton needed to be taken out by a big dose of karma, the show has become a snooze fest without him. Has it jumped the shark? While the challenges are getting switched up a bit, they already did the stand on a post a few weeks ago. Sorry, Mark, but adding a bucket of colored water doesn't make it a new game. And every week, they have a food reward. How's that tapping their energies and throwing off their social game? The girls are going to Pagon the guys and then it'll be eating their own - not that it'd really be "their own" since I don't see any real ties between any of them. Each is playing along with the group biding their time and hoping they make the cut.
Maybe it’s time for a location change too. I can understand that they are saving $$ by sticking to the same location for the last, what, 4 seasons? It’s all getting stale. I’m glad they don’t have to do the gross food / drink thing anymore though. I gagged right along with them back in those days.
The gross food wasn’t so bad but the drinking the cow’s blood was the end of it for me. They can eat all the fish and bugs but that poor cow getting cut just because of a stupid game, no. I did enjoy them having to work for a grain of rice though. It was good thinking to eat the chicken feed back whenever. That was surviving in a truer sense than what it is today.
Mark always said he’d never take the show to a cold climate. He’d be wise to reconsider to shake things up. Sure, you don’t get a lot of skin but then we wouldn’t be subjected to blue speedos and pink not so tighties so that in itself should be a win.
