The agitated sandwich shop customer disliked the pickles. Now shes in one with the cops.
A Massachusetts woman who ordered a steak-and-cheese sub at a subway station was so angry about too many pickles on her sandwich that she punched an employee and shoved two jars of pickles at her, transit police said Monday. The jars shattered and the customer fledwithout the sandwichbut the brine-covered employee managed to catch up with her and hold her until transit and local police arrived .
The incident happened Saturday at the Nathans Famous Hot Dogs at the Quincy subway station, the transit police said.

one reason mail order (website or regular) is so popular is to avoid nuts like this at the store (or in the parking lot, or on the road to the store)
alas, I still haven’t figured out how to cook Costco hotdogs at home that taste nearly as good as when you buy them fresh made at Costco for $1.49 each, including relish, onions, saurkraut, and mustard
(and all the soda pop you can drink)
if i could figure out how to make hot dogs taste good when I cook them at home, I could skip my Costco trips (they have NOT ONLY the world’s best hot dogs, they have the world’s most dangerous parking lot!!!!)

Might just be a psycho, but I’m thinking she may well have been more than a little smashed when she ordered. Drunks can be the worst to deal with in a food service setting.
“Well, I could flick some of these pickles off my sandwich, but that would be too much trouble. Why don’t I just assault you instead?”

Have you put them in a pot of water and heated the water slowly? Do not boil the water, just let the dogs sit in the hot water until they get warm. What you’re trying to do is “steam” the dogs.
Well, one thing is for sure, if you want the hot dogs to taste good, don’t boil them. Grill them, or even just throw them in a toaster oven, if you still have one of those.
Also, you have to add a pinch of celery salt, that is the “secret” condiment.
steaming in an actual steamer is probably a better idea- I can’t imagine Costco selling an undercooked item (warm water?)
Steam will heat it hotter than boiling, but not boil away the flavor
Also, make sure you buy the same dogs they have- they may not be the same. You gotta have a good product if you are going to sell them for $1.49
My favorite way is BURNT BEYOND RECOGNITION!
Drop in 1 TBSP bacon grease.
Simmer hot dogs.

I think all hot dogs are “fully cooked” when purchased.

I have the same problem with Italian sausage--when I cook them at home to put into a pasta dish, they're never as good as the sausages found at a good Italian restaurant. I often cook them in a George Foreman grill, but maybe that's not the way to go.

In my prep dorm, we just stripped the ends off an extension cord, stuck a nail in each end of the hot dog, wired ‘em up, and plugged it in! Weren’t the greatest, but they weren’t bad either!
