ask your lawyer. you have just demonstrated a mindset predetermined to shoot someone. good luck should you ever find yourself in a zimmerman situation.
Nobody is asking you to do that. It's just the overall hostile vibe you are giving off.
Dog dies in car: Woman charged.
Four Americans die after 7-hour firefight in a U.S. mission running guns to our enemies: Woman testifies before Congress, “What difference does it make?” No charges are filed.
>> if I see a person or even an animal trapped in a car on a hot day, I’m busting open a window to get them out.
That’s your business. Do what you think you have to do, based on what you think you see.
I’d seriously advise not doing it to *my* car. I don’t do dumb stuff like lock animals or people in my hot car. So If I see your do-gooding self going at my window with a tire iron, I’m going to HAVE to assume you mean me harm and take you out if I can.
Maybe, in your do-gooding righteous wrath, you mistook that stuffed animal, or a coat, or that baby carrier with a blanke in it, for a living being. Sorry about that, but it’s really not my problem — I have a right to the security of my person and my property.
Do you see my point?
By the way I live in Texas. Don’t count on having to visit me in jail if you screw with me and get shot.
FRegards
Ah, so now the dog has morphed into a child! That’s some clever debating skillz right there.
I’d probably break it myself if I was certain it was a child. But not without spending twenty seconds screaming and hollering for the owner, and calling 911 first.
The original poster I replied to didn’t really mention any of that — just offhand vandalism.
Holy Moly let me get this straight if you aren't in the vehicle and you see somebody break the window you will shot them? Sorry but even in Texas you are going to jail.
In Arizona, it is against the law to leave a dog in the car even if it is 40 deg out. Not sure how anyone is supposed to stop for food while driving thru the state with a dog in the car. But you can leave them in the back of a pickup!
>> you have just demonstrated a mindset predetermined to shoot someone.
Good night, that is just burning stupid. Everyone who takes a CCW class has evinced a “mindset predetermined to shoot someone” — if they need to!
That’s a far cry from evincing a mindset of shooting someone because they belong to a racial class, or an individual because you hate them individually, etc.
Indeed — ask YOUR lawyer. Ask him to explain it r-e-a-l s-l-o-w so you can understand.
Since you don't have a dog in this fight, why did you get involved in the first place?
It's not even happy hour yet.......
I see you’re not *from* here.
To me at this point he/she is just trolling.
Nope around here your life has to be in danger before you can just start popping off rounds.
Do you feel the same way if it was a child?
>> why did you get involved in the first place?
Truthfully, because that snotty flippant nonsense I responded to — “I’m offering a free broken window” a.k.a. “I’m morally superior and above the mere law of the land!” — just rubbed me the wrong way.
I overreacted and believe me I wish I WOULD have just stayed out of it.
On the other hand, when you’re an asshole like me**, arguing is one of the few pleasures of life you can enjoy freely. Addictive but affordable and not fattening. :-)
** Apparently I am so afflicted. Here is the well-reasoned proof: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/chat/3044982/posts?page=26#26
>> It’s just the overall hostile vibe
I kinda thought the first poster I responded to was a fairly hostile “vibe”.
Please see #45, Eaker.
post 19 and 20
now im fixing to go destroy some weeds with my whacker AND i think i will take out some of the neighbors just for the hell of it
So you are going to whack your neighbors? :)
and of course i mean my neighbors weeds unless i have an uncontrollable twitch or nervous...
>> go destroy some weeds with my whacker
Impressive whacker! That must be why they call you “bighead”. Use plenty of sunscreen; I’d take an ibuprofen or two first.
