What do you do when youre tired of sitting around in your pajamas and playing video games all day? Why, you sit around in your pajamas, fire up Photoshop, and create some giggles by defacing wedding photos! And thus began Brides Throwing Cats. Here are some of my favorite photos -- and, of course, a Very Super Serious and Scholarly timeline of the trends development.
The game had its start sometime in the mid 20th century, presumably somewhere in Kansas judging from this photo.
This bride took home a medal in the Ohgoshaminny County Regional High School Outdoor Track Championship for her prowess at the over-the-shoulder cat shot put.
The woman on the right, in the minidress, is reliving her glory days as a forward on her high school basketball team. Either that or shes doing a dance of joy because she doesnt have to wear the same hideous Disney princess ball gown as the other unfortunate bridesmaids.
Crowd surfing isnt just for punk rock shows. Wedding receptions are an ideal venue, especially if you happen to be a cat who was just launched from a brides hands.
Today, brides all over the world are pitching cats at their female guests. Let's check in and see how the craze has caught on.
Look out, yall -- the bridesmaids are brawling! Well, except for the woman on the left in the red flowery dress, who seems to be running for her life.
If you catch the brides bouquet, youll be the next to get married. These women must think that catching the bride's cat means that youll die alone with 200 cats of your own, who will probably eat you when they realize you're no longer going to feed them.
Apparently, neither does the bride. This picture just screams (or perhaps mumbles) yeah, whatever."
Grumpy Cat went to a wedding once. It was horrible!
Just to reiterate: These brides are not throwing actual cats. Neither this post nor the Brides Throwing Cats blog should be construed as endorsements for such behavior. If you're stupid enough to try to throw a cat instead of a bouquet at your wedding, you and your guests will get what you deserve.
Photoshop at work.
Don’t toss Tard !
No way this is fake! Did you see those moves? No way you could fake that!
Cute & Clever. Some where, somebody will not read the copy, misunderstand it anyway and annoy their local Humane Society. However, one has to ask, why would these ladies need to reach out and catch something they already have?
There’s a pun (or two) in there, but I don’t dare.
And the unemployed.
Next up: Cats Throwing Brides
Why?
Because, that’s why.
How about Lil’ Bub?
It’s as real as pro wrestling.
Poor Grumpy cat
Absolutely.
She's 'ad worse.
I’m still angry over the feds putting tarps over Mt.Rushmore!
That’s not what Ceiling Cat usually watches.
