This past weekend a country with one of the highest living standards in the world saw rioting in the streets!
According to Credit Suisse, Singapore ranks 8th in the world in terms of personal wealth. Since the year 2000, Singaporeans wealth has more than doubled.
It is clear that this is a very prosperous city state that is the gem of Asia. I know that when I have looked for offshore gold storage in the past, Singapore comes up as one of the top areas along with Hong Kong, Zuric, Perth, and Toronto.
However, on Sunday a riot was sparked in Singapore, the first one in more than 40 years. Long story short, an Indian national was struck by a bus and killed, the surrounding neighborhood went out by the hundreds to set fire to at least 6 police cars and the ambulance that responded to the young man who died.

Two weeks after any kind of SHTF, there WILL be cannibalism.More like 2 days maybe. It will not take long. Keep your powder dry.

And if something like LA starts again, I suspect it will be very unhealthy to the participants.

I’ve gone 8 days without any food. I lost 40 lbs.
I don’t think it will take 2 weeks

Any country with an underpaid or poorly treated underclass is not really stable. And any country with a significant group which perceives itself as poorly treated, underpaid, or an 'underclass', regardless of statistic or privilege, is equally unstable.
Impressions trump facts.

Someone I know has one of those (.45 ACP)...it didn't cost an arm and a leg, and it goes "boom" every time he pulls the trigger. Fairly accurate at 15-20 yards. Heavy enough to crack skulls, too...if he were to run out of ammo.

Agreed. That is why Hussein’s administration has been a destabilizing force and why the police have been muscling up. To both destabilize the middle class.

I would say the same, but it looks a bit small for a Hi-Point.
I'll take my hand cannons over that thing any day:

Subtle difference out in the "country", there ain't a Polar Bear, there are Polar Bears. Millions of 'em. And they'll fight like wild...bear.

YIKES! .45 Long Colt called that one.
In my defense, I do have a Hi-Point 4095 Carbine:
Mine has a scope, though.
I also found out that Hi-Point makes 15-round magazines for it, too.
The suckuh is accurate as hell!
But, a spring flew out into outer space the last time I cleaned it.
(My gunsmith fixed it, though)

I agree. Looks like a 9mm Hi Point to me. I had a .40 Hi Point in college. Very top heavy. It was pretty accurate, when it fired. I was never able to go through a full magazine without a malfunction of some sort. Sold for $100 at a garage sale. That’s just my personal experience, other’s mileage may vary. Nowadays, I prefer 1911s.

I’ve tried to fast and three days is my limit. My sailboat is my survival strategy. If there’s a disaster I promise to save as many babes as I can fit aboard. Conservative babes have priority ;)
