I realize this is old news, but I don't remember anything about this. Anyone else hear of this?

When a fireman rescues a baby from a burning building, the fireman is not expected to care for the baby for life.
Rescue by definition is a very short term effort.

Reagan never bit anyone, but was alleged to have scared people because he "barked like crazy." Good grief!

Should’ve named him Biden instead.

People expect Republican politicians to not act like politicians for some odd reason. The dog was an election prop, plain and simple. I feel badly for the dog, but hopefully he landed in a home where somebody actually gave a hoot about him when there were no cameras around.

Perhaps they found out the hard way why he was taken to the shelter in the first place.

The dog should be named “Conservative”, or “TEA”. Repub used him for the political campaign, then when he was no longer needed, walked away from him.

Just like how the GOPe feels about conservatives after an election.

Usually, when you ADOPT a dog from a RESCUE, it is a “forever home”, you know, like until either you or the dog DIES. It’s not a political beard to fool folks into voting for you.

Rescue by definition is a very short term effort. That's wrong. 'Rescue' means you go to a shelter to adopt a dog. It's supposed to be a lifetime commitment.
I've always believed if you want to know the character of a person, watch how they treat their animals.

What on God’s Earth are you babbling on about?
Do you even know what it means to rescue a dog?

I’d be interested in this story, only if, there was a kid standing on the dog, trying to reach the counter.
*That* would be newsworthy.

A fireman doesn’t go around posting photos of the baby he rescues using them to get a raise or in a campaign to win a political office, either.

He used the dog as a prop. Plain and simple. No getting around it.
