Survivor: Worlds Apart is the 30th season of Survivor. It begins Wednesday, February 25, 2015 on CBS at 8/7c with a special 90 minute episode.
It will be held in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua, the same location as Survivor: Nicaragua, Survivor: Redemption Island and last season's Survivor: San Juan del Sur — Blood vs. Water.
The players range in age from 52 to 22. Nine are from California, with seven from Southern California. Tyler has been known in the past for his prowess as a football player.
Escameca (blue collar - blue buffs): Dan, Kelly, Lindsey, Mike, Rodney, Sierra
Masaya Tribe (white collar - yellow buffs): Carolyn, Joaquin, Max, Shirin, So, Tyler
Nagarote Tribe (no collar - red buffs): Hali, Jenn, Joe, Nina, Vince, Will

There didn't appear to be any, but you may want to check the bios for yourself. It would be a first in a long while if there wasn't.
Just now getting around to reading the cast bios and not believing a word.
Blue Collar
Dan - Down to earth family guy.
Kelly - what’s with all the iPods? Commitment is her pet peeve??? Let’s see how fast her tribe can sever commitment with her.
Lindsey - Wow, guess I need to match my hair to my clothing for the premiere tonight, too. Does K’nex have a human building kit? Mark will want her to make it to the liquor reward but too many pet peeves will send her out before the merge.
Mike - he might go far unless he gets distracted by a bikini.
Rodney - will be the first to propose a guys alliance with one not too smart hot chick. Most people don’t put up with hustlers for long but he may manage to hustle his way into the jury.
Sierra Dawn - ah, she’ll be the hot chick on Rodney and Mike’s radar. Why is she on the Blue Collar tribe when Hali, who’s pre-law, is a No Collar? Smells like Mark is playing fast and loose with who wears which collar and throwing in ringers.
White Collar
Carolyn - Hillary warning. Will be whining about being cold, wet and without her iPad within hours. An early boot.
Joaquin - too full of himself and another one who may not out last the weather
Max - will he pass or fail his Survivor class? I’m giving him a failing grade of 50-60. Ok, for grins and giggles, I’d enroll in a Survivor class at a community college but that’s as bad as diversity insights and women’s studies at a real university.
Shirin - ooooh, smells like the lying backstabbing witch of the island. It may take until merge for people to see through her.
So - So, the producers are writing So’s and everyone else’s bio with all this Ozzy, Parvati, Boston Rob and Cochran idolization and it’s such a coincidence those are listed in the 10 Greatest players. Because, yeah, everyone is just like them. And someone obviously has stock in iPads. So, So is sooo an early boot.
Tyler - An unemployed “talent assistant” who dresses up like a hobo and enjoys scaring kids is a White Collar? What 7 professional football teams did you not out last and out play on? Please let this hobo be hoping a train off the island before jury. Hmm, not having a good feeling about this season. Nope, not at all. Mark is messing with the audience again. Not a good sign.
No Collar
Hali - a law student should be on the White Collar tribe
Jenn - hoping early boot but most people voted for obama so what do I know.
Joe - another who can’t live without their iPad and honestly thought his cast pic was a girl
Nina - does she have a real job or what? Very little info in the cast profile to tell anything about her.
Vince - you’ve got to be kidding, shaking my head. Goat?
Will - finally I am pleased they aren’t allowed to bring a favorite item. What the heck is an internet sensation?
Well, great. Now I find the cast videos and you have to sign up. No, thanks. Wondered why some links wouldn’t work. Oh, well. Have a pot roast in the oven and a fruit salad in the fridge so counting down the next 3 hours.
I noticed that too. The cast was picked before the format was decided. This is one of the most utterly contrived setups they've ever had.
Hmm. I watched the cast videos and didn't have to sign in. If you are able to watch, beware. You'll have to sit through a 30 second ad for each video.
Hmm, that’s weird. I kept getting CBS pop ups to register. It wouldn’t let me watch the short premiere clip through your link above but it did when I did a search for it. CBS doesn’t have the cast interview videos listed on their top tab but (IIRC) down on that page with the 30 minute round table with Jeff. I think that’s the page that keeps giving me grief. Even the bio pages kept shorting out like they were on a timer. Never saw such goofiness before. Oh, well.

The first 8 are displayed.
When you click the right arrow, the second 8 are displayed.
When you click the right arrow again, the last 2 are displayed.
Once again somebody who claimed to have watched all the seasons made the rookie mistake for somebody who stands out from their tribe on age and weight. Get Bull Headed and brow beat the female tribe members over building the hut and when they call him on it flip and say nothing. He dug his own grave.
Two tribes did a variation of the bamboo saw and got fire the first day. Well done.

Thumbs up for Carolyn(?) for spotting the lie, tailing the suspects, seeing where they were looking and then finding the II for herself - and flipping the TC votes to So.

Did you notice how each tribe was color coordinated with the buff’s they received? CBS didn’t even try and hide that.
The older postal worker is so creepy I don’t even feel like looking up his name. And please can we not see that underwear again?? Looks like the white collar is going to over analyze/over strategize everything. And that guy with the feathers - looks like a stalker/borderline psychopath.
The Fabio wannabe / Feather guy is a MAJOR CREEP. I also agree with you on the postal worker. No one wants to see that and for the life of me I can’t figure out why he’d think anyone would.
The postal worker may think that by day 30 he’ll have lost a lot of weight and will look pretty good. I would bet he is desperately single.

Dan, Dan, the speedo man. Ban men’s undies!!!! Noticed how the producers just had to show the side by side, uh, difference between him and Rodney (?). Could have done without that entire segment.
Psycho Vince gives off very bad creepy ick vibes. He’s not the only one with weird vibes.
Good for Carolyn finding the II but dumb of her for telling the overly inflated ego hobo dude. He’ll turn on her in a minute. She’s likely taking the walk of shame by their next tribal. I thought they’d try to have her play the II last night but still boot So. Next time, they’ll lie to her about keeping her in the fold and safe but blindside her. That liar, Joaquin, will be their third boot with his strength saving him over Carolyn. Geez, he didn’t even know her name at tribal. Too funny they couldn’t complete their puzzle.

Wow, after 30 seasons people are realizing they need to practice their fire making skills before arriving.
Nice of Mark for having the Blue team wear blue, the Yellow team wear yellow and the Red tame wear red (sort of like him writing their bios). And have them arrive in specially painted trucks so we viewers wouldn’t be confused. What would be even nicer would be to have a banner at the bottom of the screen with their name, occupation and tribe so we’d get to know who’s who.

As I said before: utterly contrived. :(
In his vid he seems very likable and fun loving. I feel he was having a bad day, the younguns misunderstood him and he should have waited until the cameras were focused elsewhere to strip down to his black skivies to take a swim. If that was actually a swimsuit, then he has bad taste in swimwear.
