Full Title: Would you dare to go GREY? Women embrace 'granny hair' trend, posting silver selfies on Instagram... after mature models walked the catwalks with undyed locks
_____________________________________
Whether you sprout the odd grey hair, spend hours eradicating them or let your silver locks flow free, the latest hair trend is good news for women everywhere.
Instagram is awash with the grey haired images - from beauty shots featuring professional models to selfies uploaded by proud grey haired Instagrammers.
For the younger granny trend followers, going grey takes serious effort in the beauty department, but for others it means emancipation from timely and costly hair dying regimes.
Either way, the look has an air of defiant feminism. Men have always enjoyed grey emancipation - the salt and pepper look is often deemed distinguished - whereas women's grey hair is rarely viewed in a flattering light.

Emmylou is the only woman I can think of who rocks the gray/white hair look.
Looks like the video-game character of Emmylou.
I’m old. I rock my long gray curly hair. I earned it, and my extra weight and my wrinkles. I am not here to decorate anyone’s world. I do not want to “attract” any man except my husband who loves me and honors our long marriage. He knows where every gray hair I have comes from and he loves me for it, and I love him.
I ignore all of you (corporate you) haters.
Emmy Lou is more gorgeous than ever!
Barry uses the spray gray too.
They are not calling this gray. They are calling it Titanium or Titanium Silver.
My niece just went titanium. Of course before that she was blue, pink, and green. lol
The titanium looks better than the colors.
What would the Silver Surfer say about silver selfies?
2 years ago at 51, I figured it was time, so I stopped dying my hair. I've never had more positive compliments about my appearance in my life.
Well managed long grey is attractive. I see some way too full, what I refer to as the ‘witch’ look.
But I’m particularly fond of grey pixie.
I am 58, have never put any (or had applied by someone else) hair coloring or dye on my hair in my life. I have “salt and pepper”, I suppose. Natural is medium brown. When I first started getting noticeable greys in, I observed that many of the women with whom I would associate on a daily basis spent LOTS of time and money on hair coloring endeavors, and for the most part, did not look “good” or natural. I would not be the one to judge whether mine looks “good” or not, but it is the hair color God gave me, and I am okay with that.
She has hair?
I love my curly long white grey reddish hair
Me too!
Look at my home page.

I was gray ‘early’ .... my grandmother was silver in her thirties. Anyway, I fought it & did dye my hair, finally decided to embrace the natural color. It’s been the best thing I’ve ever done with my hair - get tons of compliments, and my hair is about 100% healthier than it used to be. Then there’s always this:
Proverbs 16:31
31 Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life.

Emmylou is such a song bird!
Well...yeah, but more of my hair is migrating to my ears and nose.
