With America fixated on all things Bruce Jenner and the anticipation around his Diane Sawyer interview Friday night on ABC, it seemed an interesting moment to revisit another time when he captured this country’s attention.
In 1978, Jenner snagged one of the sports world’s biggest honors: appearing on the Wheaties cereal box. While this might not sound impressive in today’s era of multi-million dollar endorsement deals, back then it was one of the ultimate prizes for a top athlete.
A lot of people know Jenner today from his relationship to the Kardashian clan. But decades ago, he became a national hero after he nabbed the gold medal in the 1976 Montreal Summer Olympics for the decathlon. This triumph meant more than most: In the 1972 Olympics, the U.S. lost the decathlon, an event the country had won in past Games, to the Soviets. Someone who is not grounded in God's Word, is vulnerable to any perversion. Folks who will not order their lives by God's statues can fall for any lie. Every cell in Bruce Jenner's body says he is a male, regardless of how me mutilates himself into looking like a female.
The sad part of this is that as in the days of Sodom, the only villains are the ones who disagree with Jenner! The only evil ones are those who would dare to object to this insanity on moral grounds. Imagine the confusion of Bruce's kids when they see their dad in a dress, even though there is no biological, evolutionary, or scientific support for transgenderism or homosexuality.
God created Bruce Jenner and gave him good desires which he followed in his early years. But because Bruce has not acknowledged the God in his life he has given himself over to perverted desires. Jesus Christ died to save transgenders and homosexuals from their destruction. There is no greater love than to lay your life down for your friends. However Jesus laid his life down for us when we were his enemies! I hope my childhood hero wakes up before this daily train wreck ends in complete destruction...

Jan: I think we’re on the cusp of seeing the last 7 years (Daniel’s 70th week) played out. All of the alliances are in place for Psalm 83, Isaiah 17, & Ezekiel 38.
Christ’s Church will be gone soon and a rebellious world will have to deal with the worst time this Earth will ever face. We may have some persecution to endure before it all kicks off, but we’re very very close IMHO.
Jenner was the height of masculinity in 1976. How far the mighty have fallen. I weep for the confusion that young children must have if they are aware of the travesty. Lord, please shine your light on our country again.....so many of us have lost our way.
