And to your thinking, was Gov. Palin “unsuccessful” in 2008 due mainly to her own actions or to those of her running mate and his campaign team? I’m VERY interested in your take on that.
It all depends upon whose ox is being gored. I didn’t see the left in agony when Clinton didn’t abort her child, and I didn’t see the right praising her for it. Chelsea Clinton and Bristol Palin are independent women, placed in the public eye when they were children by circumstances they could not control. Now that they are grown, each, in her own way, has chosen to maintain a public profile, along with the good and the bad that comes with it.
The first four words of your post are the answer for Bristol.

Neither do you. The thing is Bristol could have easily stopped this by not going on social media. She could have kept quiet. Would it work? Who knows but now it is out and about. If Chelsea did have an abortion it would have been discovered. And if you don’t think so then perhaps Bristol could have gone 9 months and had the baby without being noticed.
I will do you one better. I am hoping that Dakota Meyer isn’t the father as it would sully his reputation.

My only point was that the left's obsession with the Palins is disproportionate to the level of scrutiny normally afforded the families of unsuccessful vice-presidential candidates.
And the best we can pay attention to is Bristol Palin's latest pregnancy????? REALLY?
Is this Free Republic or National Enquirer or Saturday Night Live? I get that the young woman will not keep her yap shut towards her critics nor they towards her. Why MUST we pay attention?

The media literally follows her around looking for a story. After the wedding was called off she obviously broke her own story about the baby rather than letting the media twist it. I am a middle aged woman but I enjoy Bristols blogs and she is a very feisty woman. Good for her for not slinking off and getting in front of the story. If only most mother’s would adore their children as much as Bristol we would have a happy world
How do we know that Mr Meyers isn’t deeply flawed? He is obviously a hero in war but that doesn’t necessarily make him a great life partner/husband. Sometimes what makes a person a warrior also makes that same person very hard to live with.

Planned just may mean not aborted..
like: she planned to have the baby.. with proper pre-natal care.. until birth..
instead of “other options”..
Proper pregnancy can be planned.. maybe should be..
Attaching a negative component to the word “planned” could be a mistake..
All children of politicians are off-limits to me - until those children become politically active as adults.
